My experience with postman: streamlining API development and collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Postman is how easy it is to use and set up. The interface is very intuitive, so I can start testing APIs right away without much configuration. It offers a rich set of features like collections, environments, and automated tests that make API development smoother. I use it almost daily to test endpoints, share requests with teammates, and monitor responses. It also integrates seamlessly with tools like Git and Jenkins, which helps in maintaining consistent workflows. The support and documentation are excellent, making it easy to troubleshoot or explore new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Postman can feel a bit heavy, especially when working with large collections or multiple tabs it tends to slow down or lag slightly. The workspace sync feature also takes time to update changes across devices. Additionally, a few advanced features are only available in the paid version, which limits flexibility for free users. however, these are minor issues compared to how powerful and convenient the tool is overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman solves the problem of manual and repetitive API testing. It provides a single platform to send requests, validated responses, and automate tests, which saves a lot of time and reduces errors. It also helps in sharing API documentation and collections with teammates, ensuring everyone is aligned. For me, this means faster development, easier debugging, and smoother collaboration across projects.
Used postman for api testing, i was initially, generating curl, grpc curl support

Its great ui, and easy to use also its grpc curl support

Sometimes its slow, it sometimes lags alot
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its solve my problem of api testing as its difficult to test api due to many issues like cors, but using postman i can test my apis both rest as well grpc

I really appreciate how simple it is to enter an API endpoint and send a request. This makes it easy for me to check if something is functioning correctly or if there’s an error, all without having to get into complicated code. There are a lot of options that can feel confusing at first, and some error messages are hard to understand without extra searching.

freemium SaaS model, which has made many core features like collaboration for even small teams, a costly subscription.

Usefull Tool For Product Managers
What do you like best about the product?
As a product manager, I rely on Postman for backend testing. It has become an essential tool in my workflow for verifying APIs and ensuring everything functions as expected.It's realy good at creating collection and share to the others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I forget to log in, and when that happens, all the work I do afterward disappears once I finally log in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool is useful for end-to-end testing. It helps ensure that all parts of an application work together as expected, making it easier to catch issues before deployment.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool is excellent for API testing and is especially useful for verifying authorization. I find it to be the best choice for these purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The loading time is extremely long, and I think it should open with Google by default.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's taking less time to execute the test cases for api testing
When calling any webservice or testing any apis i am using postman from now on!!

The simplicity and ease of use, along with the ability to export and import packages, make it a pleasure to work with. Not having to reconfigure your API calls every time you want to use them is truly convenient.

There isn't much to complain about, but I do wish the updates were spaced out a bit more from one another.

As a developer, I was working on creating some APIs that required thorough testing. To test these APIs from the very beginning of the code, I used Postman, which proved to be extremely helpful throughout the process.

I am using Postman almost on a daily basis for support tasks. It helps me test APIs related to customer accounts like activating features, changing account details, or deleting users. This is a very easy tool and has a clean layout for navigation. I can quickly send requests and check if everything is working fine.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a little time to load collections or switch between tabs. But once it opens, it works well and doesn't crash or hang.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with customer accounts where I need to add or remove hosts, team members, community managers, etc. Postman helps me test these API calls safely and make sure everything works before final changes. Its useful features save me a lot of time everyday.

1. Free Plan with limited with number of users.
2. Import and export of specific folders is not supported.
3. The desktop application is heavy.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman simplifies the entire API development and testing workflow. Earlier, testing APIs required switching between multiple tools or writing custom scripts for each request. With Postman, I can easily create, organize, and automate API requests in one place.
