Essential for consuming APIs
What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy that becomes to test almost any kind of service, only by configuring some parameters and, if needed, the environment. The possibility to store and organize your requests by collections and folders is very useful too, joined to the different environments that you can configure (i.e. to test both DEV and PROD endpoints). And now, with the "workspaces" added recently you can share your collections even easily that before..

What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe that you have to pay for several options and it would be great if it support SOAP services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I develop REST APIs that I have to test and call from the web (which I also develop) and Postmen let me to directly make the request I exactly want to test, without the need to navigate through the web to reach the button/form/link that also makes the call.

What do you like best about the product?
It has a very low entry barrier. I simply downloaded Postman and got to work right away. Also like that it can handle sessions from the browser.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to find something I dislike. Maybe something local to the app to invite new users to collections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed some way to easily test our API endpoints. We were currently either calling it directly in the browser, or hooking it up to our front end and debugging from there. Postman has made API development so much easier, with instant results.

What do you like best about the product?
easy interface to communicate with API's for backend software developer no need for UI to get a reaponse from API's. This software also help get find bug and check weather API give a proper response or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
Havy software and took much time, means take initial startup time.

Great for testing HTTP Requests
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to test put, delete and other types of HTTP requests in a simple easy to use interface without having to go through the process of filling out a form.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it lost chrome browser support because that was very convenient
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman is used to develop apps that use CRUD features. It makes development and testing of certain features a lot more seamless and quick.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using this for developing CRUD applications. It makes thing much quicker and simpler to do.

What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a little bit complicated. The learning curve is a little bit complicated. It's a powerful app but if you want to 100% understand it, need to spend so much time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to test API REST whatever method you want (GET, POST, DELETE,...). Without this tool the way in which we test our API would be very complicated.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy manage diferents enviroments. I have 4 enviroments with its own variables, local, development, preproduction and production. I can test all the API REST in the desired enviroment with one click
What do you dislike about the product?
Before version 6.40 i had a problem with SSL HandShake v3, but it's solved in the version 6.40
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Postman to test that the API works correctly, I can evalueate the time spent in the request and, if there is an issue in production, I can see if it's an API problem or is a frontend error

If you are looking for a easy and powerful software to test you API, Postman is a very good option

Makes testing your back-end simple and easy, even when utilizing authorization tokens, headers, etc

Sometimes, closing multiple tabs is a pain, with asking if you would like to save on every one

It’s a very easy to use UI for simple HTTP requests that works even on Windows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup can be annoying if your IT department seems to think developers don’t need to be able to use tools they want to.

Testing REST endpoints.
Makes API work much easier
What do you like best about the product?
Postman makes a lot of the nitty-gritty work out of API creation/testing much easier. Being able to save requests and parameters aids a lot in iterating over different calls or creating different versions of an API. Sharing calls among teammates is super helpful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could use a little work and doesn't seem to have been updated in a while. It's a little hard to figure out where everything is when you first start using it. There are several levels of nesting requests and projects, and tabs on multiple sides that makes it easy to lose what you were working on
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman makes it much easier to test out API calls and keep track of the work you're doing. Lets you focus on the logic of the calls and the structure of them, rather than having to remember labyrinthine curl commands

It's probably not the slickest or easiest to use tool, but it's a huge improvement over issuing curl commands for testing. And it's cheap

What do you like best about the product?
Great Interface to test and arrange your API's The API's can be categorized as needed. Its ability to export and import API's is the best. When working with teams, it makes it much easier to co-ordinate the effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
Time to load initially. If its possible to load the page much faster it would be better. Apart from this, do not see any shortcomings so far.

Test API and make sure they work as expected.
