Streamlining our sales process with Octiv
What do you like best about the product?
I love the modern and easy to use interface. Once we put in some initial work setting up our templates and adding in assets, it's been very easy to maintain and update our proposals and training process as we go. The reporting functionality is great. I love being able to see detailed analytics about the sales team as a whole and specific metrics related to each proposal. It's helped up shape what content in the proposals are important and what needs more work.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had some difficulties editing our proposal template. We've tried to make our proposals more image-focused and pleasing to the eye. It has been difficult to link to images within documents, but I've been able to make it work by editing the code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to streamline and easily customize our sales process. Not only has our sales team become more organized, but Octiv has been it easier to collaborate and constantly improve our sales proposals. Plus it's nice having proposals that can take on more of a presentation feel and look more visually appealing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We researched several other products before deciding on Octiv. They did help us set up our template to what we wanted initially and trained someone in-house to train the rest of the sales team. It was really helpful for us to make sure that one-on-one time was included.

What do you like best about the product?
New feature with Apttus X-Author Add-in
will be working for Apple and that they have it in the roadmap that it will use the web version that will work without installing Addin.

Not much improvement in this area for VMWare as we are 13 Releases behind.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability for all parties within our group to be able to view and track a specific contract/ agreement in real time.
To be able to have history/ documentation of the contract life cycle and know who has worked on a particular record/ contract.

What do you dislike about the product?
Currently we work off of Attachment and Amendment numbers, we have not found a way to configure Apttus to be able to "know" what the next Amendment or Attachment number for a particular account

Be able to fully track amount of time it spends with each particular group.
Also, be able to fully know the amount of time it takes a contract from request to activation.

The ease and transparency of approval requests.

The complexity around visibility rules for products and specific constraint rules for users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our Enterprise customers need negotiated T's and C's. We have streamlined our legal red lining process with the sales cycle to ensure higher productivity and collaboration across the org.
Using CLM has been very impressive and awesome
What do you like best about the product?
what I like best with CLM: CLM not doubt has made the contract process at my Hospital much more smoother, faster cleaner than what it used to be. Our approval process has been modified using CLM workflows, process builder and Approval process. I was impressed when I saw the MAX demo for CPQ and I look forward to having such functionality in CLM because that would be very cool awesome for my Hospital legal department and other users.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my organization our Approval flow is very complicated and I think we are still looking for a way to streamline the process without changing too much on our traditional workflow

Multi featured CM Solution
What do you like best about the product?
It's a highly scalable valuable business solution. Automatic generation of approvals. It can handle countless variations of contract use cases. Sysadmin can easily enhance the system. Nicely designed out of the box and easy to configure. Having the its own CPQ and ALM system available. Excellent end user customization. It's relatively simple to use and understandable for our customers. Its robustness and compatibility for the CPQ and ALM integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about this product. Apttus has a proven abiility to deliver a winning solution. Perhaps the interface can be more efficient with fewer page turns, etc. Could use more guidance on complex processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have significantly reduced manual processes resulting in time and cost savings. Our sales team really likes it and Legal relies on it. And the Operations team can't live without it. This was one of the smoothest, most successful projects we have implemented and are quite happy with it.

What do you like best about the product?
Well integrated with Word and Salesforce. Authoring is straight forward.

Documentation and training could be enhanced.

Helps to maintain consistency in contract terms.

I think I like the Publish function in template, when it is mass publish, it works pretty well. Redlining. FX2 is okay too.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are quite some bugs and release issues. It is bad that merge server releases usually caused problems.
