IBM DB2 4 years user experience.
What do you like best about the product?
It is very stable and powerful database which comes with great tools for memory allocation and performance tuning.
Scalability provides by DB2 is great. Support is also excellent.
Can be used very frequently and easily without login into another system.
Implementation or integration of db2 is very easy.

Complexity is very high as it has become bery big in terms of providing features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optimization and scalability is great with DB2. Performance is really great with huge data.

Some query syntaxes are different, but in a short time, it's easy to learn.
Licensing can be an issue due to the high value of the premium version.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

While implementing of the data over cloud for analytics the queries, the implementation of data analytics over cloud is much simpler and efficient here. Provides a stage that limited grating for clients by being exceptionally viable with existing SQL code, and simple to incorporate with SAP applications.

What do you like best about the product?
I am the certified database DB2 application developer. I am working in DB2 database at production side daily .
I am stunned with the vloume of data it handles and works seemslessly with webservices with different systems in real time basis.
As datastudio comes handy, there is no downfall at all now for DB2. Earlier you need to know mainframe a bit to access, but now its not the case

What do you dislike about the product?
none, I do not think of any. It now still embeds XML in a column. Its going strong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a production tickets world, I connect,verify how the user sees the data and what is stored in DB2. In large scale, it helps me to isolate the problematic data easily.

IBM DB2 provides a suite of tools that can be used to manage data efficiently. It has out-of-the-box support for both relational and non-relational models. This makes it the go-to choice for all data-related operations as it has multi-cloud capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that can be improved. Firstly, the integration options are not readily available. The UI can be improved to assist the learning curve of new users.

While there were several options out there, IBM DB2 had multi-cloud capabilities and made query execution seamless. The powerful performance clubbed with the reliability provided by IBM DB2 made this solution unwavering.

Has fewer region options.
However it has less integration options.
Upgrades take a lot of time and a lengthy process.
Backup restoration is not handy with the running process.

It solves the scalability, performance, reliability and cloud deployment solutions. It provides a powerful platform for managing and analyzing their data effectively via hybrid cloud.

Db2 is well known for reliability and scalability, and solid database solution for all your business needs including Data Lake, Operational Database, Data Warehouse, and Fast Data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is quite a steep learning curve to using and deploying IBM Db2 so some investment in skills and training could be essential to maximise the product and deliver the correct solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The product can give Improved data availability, extended processing capacity, configuration flexibility and higher transaction rates when compared to other similar database products.
High performing database system
What do you like best about the product?
When I work with a DBA and they help me to setup indexes on large data sets, the performance improvement is jaw dropping. I love how performant DB2 is. Actually, it was the first database I used for my career, and anytime I need to use other databases, I am shocked to see their lacking performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface from 2010 has now been decommissioned, it was truly an ugly user interface, but it was effective for getting things done if you don't know the complete set of commands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides the backbone of a high-performant service-oriented architecture. We need the system to handle as many transactions per second as possible, and we are able to get thousands per second. Thats for read and commit! Truly amazing performance.
