FloQast Improves Month-End Close Efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
I love that reconciliation balances are automatically updated in FloQast. It makes it easy to identify when a reconciliation no longer matches the G/L. FloQast is very intuitive. You're able to add comments and ask questions all within the system. You get notifications when accounts go out of balance. You can easily tell what items you should be working on based on the due dates assigned to each task. You can add tasks with different due dates whether it is monthly, quarterly or annually which is helpful especially when keeping up with tax filing due dates. FloQast also has a perm file feature where you can store all of your important documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any downsides to FloQast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast is way more awesome than keeping track of close in Excel or Word. All close items are tracked in a centralized system where the entire team can access at the same time. It is extremely easy to refer to prior months. There is definitely a significant time savings by using FloQast.

Great tool to streamline and improve the financial close process
What do you like best about the product?
FloQast worked with our existing tools - Box for cloud storage and NetSuite ERP - and connected them to create a seamless one stop dashboard for monitoring the financial close process. Because it uses the existing tools and didn't create extra steps, adoption by the team was instant and enthusiastic! Gone are the days of excel close checklists, Trello/planner tasks, or any other form of checklist. FloQast gives instant visibility to status to all members of the team, eliminates email thrash around close, and is especially useful during the current remote work situation.
The reconciliation module makes it very easy to see where account recons stand, and where there are issues that need to be investigated.
The entire platform is customizable, flexible, and so easy to use. Support from FloQast during the implementation and training, and ongoing have been great as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, honestly it has worked so well for our entire team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
streamlining financial close, shaving days off of the process. Much better communication between team members on status of checklist items and reconciliations, and easier for other team members to jump in and help out if another team member is behind. Review notes give you the ability to get out of email for close tasks/questions and stay in the application, so that everyone on the team has access to the comments/questions.

Nothing I dislike about Floqast. It's been very helpful with my work.

Timing of completing my work and keeps me on my feet of when items are due.
User-Friendly Tool with Innovation at the Forefront
What do you like best about the product?
FloQast's interface is super user-friendly, and support team is always available to assist. Additionally, they've rolled out several modules and tools, such as Fixed Balance and Auto-Reconciliation, which have significantly cut down on the time required to complete our monthly account recs.
What do you dislike about the product?
FloQast has launched a flux analysis module, however it is lacking some of the features that would make it valuable for our team, such as line-by-line sign-offs and review notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast has provided better visibility into our close process, and ensured that no tasks are forgotten or missed in order to close timely and accurately. Additionally, it is helping to streamline our account reconciliation process and provide an audit trail for internal controls.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that FloQast maintains our close process and gives us visibility in to seeing where others are within the close, and allows us to quickly view our close process documents. Without FloQast I believe that we would have no idea where everyone is in the close process, and the accountability is no longer there without. I love that it is fluid in terms of adding/removing task, reassigning, modifying due dates, and leaving comments. These are normal things that while they seem like no brainers, have been super valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The improvements I'd recommend for floQast, is more integrations with accounting systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics. Also while not exactly a flaw, just a couple missing features such as mass sign-offs, quick guidance as to why a folder cannot be closed, and attaching of reconciliations to their respective task. Not really much else I could ask for in regards to a financial time management tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast has cut down our close time of 11+ days down to 8-9! We are able to set a time schedule that is realistic with our expectations as a group in the organization. It allows us to see what task need to be completed and when. Also, this holds all our documents within, so there's no more searching for documents /support, when it is as easy as clicking into the task backup.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it, if you don't already have a time management system that is very intuitive to learn, this is it.
Delegation & Prioritization
What do you like best about the product?
FloQast was crucial in our transition from a 30-day close to a 7-day close. As our team grew, FloQast allowed us to keep an eye on the team's performance and identify areas where we could delegate to other members of the team or prioritize to a different time of the month. Now that we've been on our 7-day close for several months, we're utilizing FloQast to keep track of all of our responsibilities and it will help us stay on track while a member of the team is out for several months. In addition, it has helped me be able to successfully manage remotely while our teams are working from home due to COVID-19.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a new integration with Slack, but I'd love to see an integration with Microsoft Teams. Would be a huge help!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, we've been able to successfully transition from a 30-day close to a 7-day close. We're gaining efficiencies with our month-end tasks, which allows us to help problem solve in other areas of the company.
I have had a very good experience working on FloQast.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way everything is set up in FloQast - Checklists, Reconciliations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any disadvantages or downsides because FloQast has been very helpful to me, and keep me on top of everything.

I see that FloQast has helped me in reconciling accounts, working on my work checklist.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend using FloQast as a tool which keeps you on top of your day-to-day work.
Excellent Program - used it for 6 years at 4 companies.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and implementation. Very quick to setup and you get quick improvements very soon after implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as robust as other platforms when it comes to automation of the close, but that's in the pipeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are understanding dependencies and where to book accruals when we encounter delays in the close.

I like the organizational structure - it makes my job cleared and due dates defined !!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the emails about past due items are annoying... but that might be personal. Also sometimes FQ tells me items are out of rec and takes the sign off but the issue has already been resolved. it should stay signed off
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No major problems - benefits are plenty! It keeps my tasks organized and with deadlines so I can prioritize. I also like being able to assign notes to people when I have questions as it leaves a "paper" trail
