Very approachable
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it was to learn very quickly. As someone with little prior systems experience, it was very easy to pick up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of anything specifically that I have issues with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing devices amomg multiple sites is made easy with Jamf Pro.
Makes Managing Apple Devices Easier
What do you like best about the product?
What I find useful is all the graphical interfaces that I can use to push updates, create smart gorups, and keep track of all of my devices. Constant updates and QoL changes really keeps things running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There doesn't appear to be and glaring or harmful downsides of using jamf. Just making sure that the device is imaged properly and has the proper certificate signatures really makes managing them easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure that devices are updated and meeting compliance when it comes to security vulnerabilites. It also helps to have the devices locked down with profiles to protect the device's integrity and use for all users.
Excellent toolset for Mac fleet management
What do you like best about the product?
I have a mid-sized fleet of Mac devices that I manage. Jamf Pro offers me powerful organizational features that allow me to easily scope software, scripts, and other policies to groups of any size. Since it plugs into our directory service, I can pull in user attributes to further organize my systems.
The inventory management and reporting, combined with smart groups, allow me to quickly and easily build reports for management to ensure they have all the information they need to make purchasing decisions.
My favorite recent feature is the App Installers system which, for catalogued apps, significantly reduces my involvement in keeping apps patched and compliant with our security policies. For legacy apps, apps which require some extra care and configuration, or apps which have different version requirements in our labs than for our employee systems - the Patch Management features allow me to create flexible group-based deployments and update rules.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is some inconsistency in the user interfaces between some of the older features and newer features within Jamf Pro. While they are working to overhaul this, it is a bit jarring.
Some features, like LAPS, are only accessible via the API. Jamf are working to integrate LAPS and other API-only features into the GUI, but that has limited the usefulness of these API-only features in my organization.

Jamf Pro allows us to ensure consistent computer configuration for labs and new users, keep inventory records for purchasing and compliance reporting, and interact with Apple's MDM systems to ensure devices are compliant with our security and configuration policies.
Comprehensive Apple MDM solution for unified device management and security.

What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting: Jamf Pro reporting abilities on various aspects of the device lifecycle are lacking and we have to rely on various tools and jamf API to create reports when asked about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF Pro currently serves as our MDM for Apple devices, and we use it to enroll devices. Manage software deployments and Mac OS and iOS updates. We use it to patch various apps with updates. We also use JAMF connect for IDM and to interface with our AAD services.
One Image = Hundreds of Devices
What do you like best about the product?
I love how the devices we use in our healthcare environment all have the same image, same look and feeling so when going from one area to another, I can pick up a device and start using it with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to install apps on our own, but we understand that it's for the best security and we can always submit optimization requests to our developers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a busy place and we need the iPhone to make calls, send messages and everyone having the same style of phone makes it easier to pick it up and get going.
It is very easy to use and works flawlessly.
What do you like best about the product?
It syncs with our SSO credentials. When any changes or installations are made on our Mac devices, it reflects immediately.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that we dislike. it works great and protects us from any threats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to work efficiently and allows us to customize our management.
Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use- but also easy to explain to any new employees that dont have exprieicne with Jamf how to use it- create enrollment packages and how to push out apps that needs to be updated or sent to a laptop that is within a specific group.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do find it hard that not everything is easy to find. Some items require more digging around in settings and cant be selected for each group. They have to be individually made per group instead of just selecting a previous group to copy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now I am still learning more about Jamf pro- but one problem I am getting help with is resoring the connection to our LDAP and i appreciate support helping me figure it out but explaining it as well since I am still relativly new to it.
Jamf Pro saves me so much time
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it saves me time and makes it easier for my user to get what they need to do their job. Their customer service is fantastic and always has the answer I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
How it can be difficult to deploy certain apps. Wish I could see the status of updates when I submit them via JAMF, sometimes documentation has not been updated for years like in the case of Make Me Admin and unusable with all the changes Apple and Jamf has made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest thing it does it allows me to deploy applications and settings remotely without having to go to every single computer and manually add it. Jamf Pro makes us more proficient. Including remotely adding printers and updating software
Go to MDM for large Apple fleet management!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is our go to MDM product for our Apple clients. While there are several MDM platforms out there, the Jamf Pro binary for macOS management is a game changer. The simplicity of deploying complex configurations, settings or automations make it easy for any of our admins to perform a task that would require more expertise to acheive in other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only "dislike" I have with Jamf Pro is the cost. For our larger clients, we can pretty easily justify the cost. For clients with a smaller Apple footprint, the cost/benefit ratio just isn't there. This makes it hard to standardize our client base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is crititcal in helping us quickly manage our client's Apple devices. The use of the Jamf Pro API has allowed us to streamline the deployment of settings, groups and policies across our entire client base with ease.
