Jamf Pro gives us the control we need to manage our fleet.
What do you like best about the product?
We adopted JamfPro back in 2016 cause we noticed our Apple fleet was growing exponentially. So we needed a platform that allowed easy implementaton and use for a small staff. Jamf has continued to implement new features that makes manging our devices easier and helps integrate them in to our infrastructure. A day doesn't go by that i am not in my Jamf dashboard adding new apps or software to our devices. During the pandemic customer support was vital in moving from our on premises implementation to a cloud hosted solution so that our campus could continue to operate. Since then Jamf Pro has been a vital tool in our IT toolbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have too many complaints regarding Jamf Pro. I do wish for a few user interface features like embeded groups, multi select of policies to apply to a group devices. I also wish you could have groups for policies that could be applied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro helps us manage our ever growing Apple fleet of devices.

JAMF Pro Game Changet
What do you like best about the product?
JAMF Pro allows us to manage our fleet of Macs and iOS devices from one tool. We can manage security and privacy for the devices which keep us in compliance and with zero touch we can deploy new devices quickly for remote users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf Pro could include more reporting capabilities, currently it is limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to manage a fleet of Macs and iOS devices that are 100% remote.
When it comes to Mac management then Jamf is the go to.
What do you like best about the product?
Stability and frequent upgrades are great.
What do you dislike about the product?
if there is single repository for all documentation then it would have great help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is great when it is about the mac management and application deployement.
Successful 1:1 program using Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro has allowed us to manage our 1:1 iPad fleet and employee choose program with relative ease. Currently I managed 11,000+ iPads and 500+ macOS devices. Being cloud hosted as helped us to fix problems on the fly with users who are not on site who are in need of assistance. The wide range of identity providers that Jamf can connect to has helped over the years as the industry moves into cloud identity providers. With new software updates coming out every year for Apple products I don't have to worry about my MDM supporting them as Jamf has always been updated for support. The community that surrounds Jamf is very helpful as well and the Jamf Nation Forums are packed full of great knowledge and helpful information. Staff has enjoyed the use of Jamf Teacher for classroom management locking iPads into certain websites and applications. A lot of vendors that have applications have documents detailing how to install using Jamf as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the new products that come out that could be very useful are additional pay. With the creation of Jamf School some of the really unique classroom features are more robust in Jamf School than in Jamf Pro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were in need of a program that would allow us to manage a 1:1 program without headaches. Once we went through the onboarding process we were happy with how easy it was to manage our devices without extra steps. It has cut down on the need for a technician to go out to the device as we can handle a lot of things remotely.
I love Jamf. It makes my job easier and more fulfilling.
What do you like best about the product?
It helps me manage Apple devices and lets me enforce standards across all user's devices. It helps maintain consistency and aids in troubleshooting. I love being able to push out applications and settings without needing my team to physically touch each machine. It is easy to set up and gets used daily.
It has helped us standardize settings and updaate our security across the organization.
It has helped us standardize settings and updaate our security across the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does have some limiations. It is not able to manage security settings as well as I would like, This is more due to Apple's changes than Jamf. A Restart option under management wuld be nice. I do wish there was a way to send policies or scripts to a computer within the Management section while viewng objects. It would make it a little easier to quickly remedy something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf lets us ensure that all computers and devices have a standard installation of applications and services installed. We are able to quickly identify problem computers. we can enforce security settings and not have to worry aboutt users forgetting their passwords or leaving without unlockiung thier machines.
Apple Systems Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful Apple endpoint management tool with wide adoption, an active community, and great training resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quality control on Jamf Pro updates has been extremely poor over the past 3-5 years. It seems each release tends to introduce more and more bugs that increasingly impact environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device onboarding and software deployment, compliance controls, patch management, etc. Jamf Pro handles the majority of our IT operations around Apple Macs and Mobile Devices.
Great iOS MDM, even for beginners.
What do you like best about the product?
I haven't used any other Apple management systems, but I am impressed by how much Jamf allows you to do. I particularly like the device command options and Remote Assist.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of intricacies that are not really intuitive. The Jamf courses seem essential to using Jamf Pro to it's fullest extent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to remove activation locks on devices which helps reduce the number of expensive bricks on my desk. I'm also able to easily set up batches of iPads for each department in our school.
It's a game-changer!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro excels at managing macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices. The automated workflows for device enrollment are a significant time-saver. With zero-touch deployment, we can prepare devices for users before they even receive them, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback of Jamf Pro is the inability to retain a device's historical data after it has been wiped and re-enrolled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The app deployment process is incredibly efficient. With a vast library of available applications and the ability to manage custom in-house apps, we can easily push updates and new installations to all users. The software also integrates seamlessly with the Apple App Store, making it easy to keep everything up to date.
Continues to be the gold standard
What do you like best about the product?
Their support is the best of the MDM's that I've used
What do you dislike about the product?
Double edged sword, as with their expansions to things like Connect and Protect, some common feature requests I feel get lost in the Jamf Pro pipelines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zero Day Support
Jamf is a Great MDM
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspects of JAMF include being able to manage multiple device types, send commands, setup smart/static groups, enrollment methods, remote capabilities, security, and overall ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
A minor nitpick I have are how it doesn't automatically set up the time according to your region and how it requires a certain setup before you can search for devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is heling us better track our devices by showing their locations along with last check in.
