Regular threat reports have improved our security awareness and response to abnormal activity

What is our primary use case?

The main use case for Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response during those four years was receiving weekly reports of security scans. Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response would alert us to intrusion alerts from time to time.

When Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response would find malware on a particular location coming from us, it would alert us to that.

How has it helped my organization?

Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response has impacted my organization positively.

What is most valuable?

The best features Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response offered were that it sent regular alerts that it found and the reports.

What needs improvement?

Some of the alerts or reports were not very easy to understand, and it took time to go through those, which was sometimes a little frustrating.

Some of the reports from Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response were difficult to understand, and it would take time to go through the report to actually be able to comprehend all of the data.

For how long have I used the solution?

As a Systems Administrator, I have been working for about eight to ten years. I am not currently using Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response, but we used it for about four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response is stable. We did not experience downtime or issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response was able to grow just fine with my organization.

How are customer service and support?

We used Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response's support from time to time, and they were responsive. We met, I think, once a month to go over any issues; perhaps it was quarterly, I don't remember exactly, but we had regular meetings to go over any issues that we saw. Their support team was good.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

The contract for our previous solution was expiring, so we switched to Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response.

How was the initial setup?

The setup process for Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response was straightforward. They wanted to add some other tools like Sysmon, which I didn't want to use, but Arctic Wolf agent was fairly straightforward.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing for Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response was comparable to other products, and it wasn't necessarily worse or better than other products.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did evaluate other options before choosing Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response. I don't recall what those were, but there were several that we evaluated, and Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response was the one that we chose based on price, features, and overall meeting our needs.

What other advice do I have?

Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response always seemed to be prompt with their findings if they found anything that was abnormal.

The way Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response does things holds it back from a perfect score. I don't think it's perfect, but it's pretty good.

Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response was on-premises at the time. We don't have Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response currently. We've moved off of their product because the contract expired.

Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response is a good product, and I would recommend it for any business. I would give Arctic Wolf Managed Detection and Response an eight out of ten.

What do you like best about the product?
AWN provides a service that we cannot replicate in-house. It fills a gap that is very much needed in today day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the email ticketing system needs a makeover to be more user friendly and to get to the important information faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to analyze data and logs that we just don't have the manpower to do.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been thoroughly impressed with Arctic Wolf's Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service. Their 24/7 monitoring and proactive threat detection have provided peace of mind for our organisation. The Concierge Team is incredibly knowledgeable and acts as an extension of our internal team, providing us with invaluable guidance and support.
What sets Arctic Wolf apart is their commitment to not just detecting threats but also helping us strengthen our overall security posture. Their platform is user-friendly, and the onboarding process was both painless and seamless.
Since implementing Arctic Wolf MDR, we've seen a significant improvement in our ability to identify and respond to potential threats quickly and effectively. I highly recommend Arctic Wolf to any organisation looking to enhance their cybersecurity defences.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deploying the Arctic Wolf agent to our MacBooks has been a manual process, requiring us to visit each device individually. However, we successfully deployed the Arctic Wolf agent to our Windows devices using InTune.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arctic Wolf is helping us with Incident management and proactive threat detection

What do you like best about the product?
Proactive. They don't just fire fight but look further ahead with lots of calls and engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost. It is an expensive service but you get what you pay for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arctic Wolf gives us our own security operations center and helps to increase out security posture. We could never house the skills in house that we now have through AW.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a one stop shop for all my security and risk needs including security awareness training.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the pricing wasn't quite so high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our workforce is on the older side, having peace of mind that security events will be caught by Arctic Wolf and the ongoing Security Awareness Training has been great for us.

My only issue is that the scanner can't run on Nutanix AHV

Arctic Wolf MDR Bolsters Defenses

What do you like best about the product?
Arctic Wolf MDR has proven to be a game-changer for our organization and is a key piece of our security program, providing much needed visibility, monitoring, and alerting, 24/7/365. Arctic Wolf is a much-needed augmentation to our small IT/security team, we use it daily.

After firing up the POC we were able to easily integrate many log and data sources right away and were seeing events within the afternoon. The platform and alerting is intuitive and easy to understand.

The concierge team has been great supporting our environment, answering questions and providing ongoing support and updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing we "dislike" about Arctic Wolf, there is some fine tuning required but as time goes on we are seeing continuous improvements to the configuration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arctic Wolf solves the problem of continuous monitoring where we do not have enough dedicated staff to have our own SOC or to staff all shifts 24/7/365.

What do you like best about the product?
Arctic Wolf is a great partner in supporting our IT security mission. They are quick to assist on alerts if we have follow-up questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managed Security Awareness lacks the ability to send training message under our company domain causing our employees to question the email as phishing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have regular touch point meets to review our account.

What do you like best about the product?
Peace of mind and easy to use. Email notifications are sufficient if you organize them coming in.
What do you dislike about the product?
typical upselling, I appreciate knowing a learning of new products but when it doesn't fit its ok to hear no thanks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
is that extra eye out on our network so we aren't relying on our staff to manually monitor things

ArcticWolf - Peace of Mind

What do you like best about the product?
ArcticWolf gives us the peace of mind that our systems are protected and we will be able to keep business operational because of the security they provide. Because ArcticWolf can collect log information from all our security systems, they become the single source for knowing risks within our enviornment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like ArcticWolf to find a better way to notify us on security threats. These notifications currently are handled within the ticketing system, so we get email alerts on ticket updates the same as an urgent issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having MDR is a requirement for our cyber insurance, and ArcticWolf is filling that role. It also provides security alerts with the managed risk features, notifies us when scanners go offline which is an early indicator that we have an issue at an office locaiton, agent alerts from our endpoints when risks are detected, and they analyze log files from our firewalls and end point protection.
