Treating a small startup like an enterprise customer
What do you like best about the product?
Everything w/Drata has been very straightforward. They've done a really great job at making everything super easy to understand and interact with. They've automated so much of the process, it's extremely intuitive and the team is so quick to respond - it's been a pleasure leveraging them. We're a small five-person team, and Drata has treated us as if we're a large enterprise customer. Their policies were a huge reason we chose them and are super useful. It's saved us a ton of time not having to make our own.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't on Drata, but I've realized how much work there is to becoming SOC2 compliant. Thankfully, Drata makes it simpler. There's not much of anything to dislike. They've clearly taken customer feedback seriously and built a really powerful solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to leveraging Drata, we had no idea all the things we were missing out on when it came to security. There were so many unknown unknowns that we were clueless about that Drata's automated system identified, notified us about, and then provided steps to remedy the issue. I can confidently say we are way more secure today than we were a month ago.
Also, the policies....wow, what a HUGE help. We had to build out other random policies due to bank requirements that felt like they took ages to create. Drata has a bunch of policies pre-built that you can edit. This saved countless days of work.

What do you like best about the product?
Drata allows you to set up any framework you choose. I used drata to help build a SOC2 framework. Their policy builder is excellent to ensure I meet all standards and the customer service is incredible. My customer service manager, Hailee has been wonderful in answering all my questions and setting appointments with compliance experts to answer all my questions. Prior to this experience, I've never worked on any security framework and so far have passed my SOC2 Type 1 and working towards completing SOC2 with the help of drata. They have helped me with all questions via live chat or email support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say there is anything on Drata's side that I dislike. Any issues I had were resolved by their team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Becoming knowledgeable in security frameworks and understanding how it all works. I was able to use their system to not only become compliant with the policies but also learn the process along the way.

What do you like best about the product?
Drata has helped us achieve SOC 2 compliance for our startup company. The Drata App has required resources available for each step of the process and guides for platform configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few controls that need to be refined more. However, the team has been responsive to suggestions and update me as the product team to improve the controls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to onboard a new client that required SOC2 controls in place. We were able to get through Type 1 compliance within 1 month. This was perfect our startup company to ensure our policies were in place and systems secure. Plus we were able to secure the deal and amaze their security team with the 180' in security initiatives.
Drata gave us the support and resources we needed for a smooth SOC2 Type 1 journey.
What do you like best about the product?
Having a point of contact who stayed with us throughout the entire SOC2 Type 1 journey. The ability to ask a compliance expert technical questions before starting the audit process was also invaluable.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are really no downsides to Drata. SOC2 compliance is a complicated process, so sometimes it took a while to find the right answers, but Drata always helped get us there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata provides one spot to contain all company policies and makes it easy to ensure all employees are compliant. It makes security easy to implement for new employees.
Incredible customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Their customer service is amazing. Questions are literally answered within minutes. My assigned person was Elise Spitzer, she is extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. They have been very helpful in all my situations.

they are providing me with a platform to view and monitor all my compliance requirements for SOC 2

What do you like best about the product?
The Customer Success Manager, Jessica Diangson. Always clear, concise, and helpful. Every meeting ended with clear next steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
No Rippling integration as of yet. The released date kept being pushed back. Aargg.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are prepping us to be SOC2 compliant. The portal makes it easy for us to keep track of everything in a user friendly way.
Great product and team of people
What do you like best about the product?
The product is very simple to use. It makes tackling large compliance requirements much easier by clearly breaking them down and providing clear guidance. Both Noah B and Craig Macaraeg on the customer success team have been excellent in supporting us and making sure we are staying on track with our goals, he's great at taking his time with us and making sure we get what we need while also providing expertise and guidance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some minor UX and power user-focused aspects could be improved. For example, list and table pagination and navigation - remembering table location when navigating back and forth, or more easily viewing all items on in a table easily without paginating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are helping us attain and attest to our users and customers that we are compliant with several industry-standard security frameworks. This is extremely valuable to us and our customers.
Great experience with Drata
What do you like best about the product?
Our point of contact, Jessica, was excellent. She kept us on track to receive our SOC 2 when many other things were happening within our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
You're paying for the platform, resources, and personnel, but Drata is on the pricier side. And the price of the audit is not included.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is helping us get SOC 2 certified. They keep us on track and provide us with the resources.
Great Product, Amazing Support
What do you like best about the product?
Drata is easy to set up, and a huge time and money saver compared to the consultants we hired to prepare us for our SOC 2 Type II. The customer support is top notch; our account exec is on the ball and has been very helpful during our preparation, and the online chat support is both fast and thorough.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our only mild frustration is that the Jira ticketing integration could use some love -- but it's still solid for a beta, and evolving quickly! Given the responsiveness of the team and their open roadmapping, I anticipate this will be improved quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated data collection for monitoring and SOC 2 readiness: it's hard to overstate how much faster and cheaper it is than using consultants or rolling our own monitoring program.
Flexible software and best in the market compare to other products.
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to quickly request changes into their product to best fit my team's need. Drata is always improving and adding to their product to keep up with the industry in their space.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things on the roadmap took longer than expected to deploy. The UI can also be a bit clunky and don't feel right with the workflow. Such as jumping into controls or policies as a quick link instead of doing a full search and back out a screen. Policy editor and out of the box does not support the file format to be easily edited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many features inside Drata that provides an easy container to provide evidence quickly to an auditor to remove the need of using a spreadsheet or cloud storage.
