Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is well-known for its security features, such as built-in firewalls and frequent security upgrades, which serve to protect users from cyber attacks.
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS also includes a user-friendly interface with a contemporary, clean, and easy-to-navigate design. It comes pre-installed with a number of apps, including the LibreOffice productivity suite, the Firefox web browser, and the Thunderbird email client.
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is extremely flexible, allowing users to tailor their computing environment to their own needs. It supports a wide range of hardware, making it compatible with a wide variety of devices, and it is open-source, which means users may access the source code and alter it as required.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Ubuntu is known for its frequent updates, there have been reports of upgrades creating difficulties or damaging their system. Compared to prior versions of Unity, Ubuntu 20.04 employs the GNOME desktop interface, which some users find unintuitive or clunky. They dislike the pre-installed software that comes with Ubuntu 20.04, either because it is superfluous or because they prefer other applications. Performance concerns such as Slow boot times and general sluggish performance are common. While Ubuntu 20.04 provides specific customisation options, we found them to be restricted compared to other Linux systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is built on open-source software and encourages the usage of open-source tools and applications. Those that wish to utilise free and open-source software may profit from this. Several tools and resources for developers are included in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, including support for a broad range of programming languages and development frameworks. Anyone interested in software development or similar industries may profit from this. We can rely on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS for a reliable and secure operating system and long-term support for crucial security updates and bug patches. As a result, it is a dependable solution for enterprises, organisations, and individual users that value stability and security.
Ubuntu: A Robust and Versatile OS for Everyday Use
What do you like best about the product?
The User- friendliness of ubuntu is unparalleled. I find it getting more and more improvised with every new version. And with the 20.04 version, I would say it is just unimaginable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that ubuntu lacks enough hardware support. Being the best user-friendly Operating System, providing better hardware support will surely increase its popularity to the peak.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu, being open-source software, is providing me a greater satisfaction towards security and privacy. Moreover, the 20.04 version supports thousands of software, making my tasks more manageable.
Ubuntu is an amazing open source Linux distro.
What do you like best about the product?
It's open source, free, flexible, easy to use. It also allows the user to install many windows based applications through WINE. I find Ubuntu and Ubuntu flavored linux distros more intuitive than the Red Hat and SUSE linux distros.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't always recognize NAS drives natively. Ubuntu 20.04 on an HP gaming laptop with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor is not fully supported. It also does not provide a solid use of a double monitor setup. By default when it goes live, the built-in laptop screen is very dim and I need to push the brightness up every single time. More applications are needed that use the Flatpak distro option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu is a flexible application that allows me to test some windows software through VM without compromizing a windows machine.
Great operating system for servers
What do you like best about the product?
The stability of Ubuntu operating system is one of the best in class for Linux-type systems. We have both our dev server and production server running on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and we are very satisfied.
What do you dislike about the product?
The release strategy of having a new major version each two years forces us to upgrade, but this process sometimes may lead to system failures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We provide our application in SaaS (software as a service) format, and stability is critical. Relying on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS was a good choice since the downtime of our application due to operating system issues is zero.
Great OS for development, but could do with some more features
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the new features available and the way it feels overall, there seems to be less bugs and issues compared to the previous version
What do you dislike about the product?
It should try adding support for exe applications and running them through Wine is a bad solution
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the simplistic features it offers for the users

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Server Side OS for hosting various web apps within a closed network. It provides a stable, great platform that works reliably for web development with Apache or Nginx. Additionally, the headless version is very light on performance and saves much on server resources.
Great linux distribution
What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use Ubuntu as my virtual machines running on a server to isolate various software and tasks off of my desktop computer. I like Ubuntu because its easy to use, well maintained. There are also 2 versions, one barebones version that has command line only intended for servers and a full desktop version with a GUI.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are new to linux some things require command line which can be a bit of a learning curve. If the desktop version is sufficent most things can be done via the GUI. Software availability can be hit or miss on linux so you need to ensure what you need is available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a base OS for virtual machines to run various services and software tasks that are best isolated from my regular desktop environment. This ensures updates, conflicting software and downtime is minimized.
