IBM API Connect is secure and offer lot of capabilities for API Management. It is very easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the various Policies available and easy security implmentation. Also Developer portal is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
API Manager of Designer could have help section in each and every small section. I have seen this in datapower but not in APIC.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We using APIC as Enterprise gateway for all kind of API's and its helping various business unit to browse the API's available and start using the API's.
Integration made safe and better with IBM API Connect
What do you like best about the product?
The gateway-level security it provides is the best in business. OAuth, JWT, Sign, Encrypt, Decrypt and Verify security mechanisms are top-notch and reliable. And many other functionalities that secure and enhance messages to make end-to-end integrations possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any downsides of API Connect however it definitely needs additional features which would minimize configuration or implementation at IBM Datapower.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration with multiple clients with different requirements. Making business to customer and business to business integration solutions. Providing OAuth 2.0 security to resource APIs.

What do you like best about the product?
This provides comprehensive solution as a API Management. Provides policies wise approach which makes development easier and simpler and makes our APIs more secure than ever.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything seems to be good except the pricing . I personally think pricing to be on a bit higher side which makes it unaffordable for smaller projects and companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used it to protect my back end APIs by implementing authentication and authorisation. Also I have used it to transform my messages from one format to another and many more.

Installation and Upgrade are quite hard and challenging.

What do you like best about the product?
Features: API management, lifecycle, security and analytics. Works well within an Openshift cluster in the cloud or on premises.
What do you dislike about the product?
Big sizing of the cluster Openshift or Kuberntes (hardware) to support IBM API Connect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
API's management, API design, versioning, developer portal segregated, security, separation of roles, layers, analytical reports, api economy feature and mainly scalability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I like it a lot and I have encouraged the purchase and use of IBM API Connect because it is a great and mature Gateway suite, thinking about the main roles of API Management, Security, Portal and Analytics and also with the possibility of being able to manage more than one organization several portals and adherence to the OpenAPI standard and micro services.

Nice to use IBM API and apps connect both are mature and finest product for integration.

API is perfect and mature application yet not any major bug or issue reported products both products are outclass
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We facing several issues with 3rd party and unable to identify problems. After implementation we have a lots of logs and reporting to cater problems.

they were able to understand the specific requirements of our organization and were able to customize the product to suit the security model including the authentication and authorization, sso and use out=r LDAP for all this

had bugs when the install was happening, but the same were resolved in a timely manner and lot of attention was provided by the product development team

we were able to expose several APIs to the larger audience, reduce redundancy, were able to restrict the api usage, monitor the analytics

There are no features to dislike especially when it is completely re-architected in the 2018 version with underlying microservices architecture
