User-Friendly Cloud Storage, But Approval Changes Frustrating
What do you like best about the product?
The cloud storage service offers a very user-friendly interface, making it easy to navigate and manage my files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Paul Davis recently introduced an approval process for manual GJs in Sage, which has altered our workflow. Now, we are no longer able to post GJs directly to the GL; instead, they are only posted after approved in Sage. I would prefer to have the ability to post GJs to the GL first and then send them for approval. This new process flow is slowing down monthly close activities, including account reconciliations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall Sage helped our team close books faster than using prior system.
Easy to Use, But Purchase Orders Take Too Many Steps
What do you like best about the product?
Its ease of use. It's not a complicated system at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
How many steps to complete one Purchase Order. Its easy, but time consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving our problem with Paying our Vendors. With Sage we can easily track our spend.
Exceptionally User-Friendly and Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user friendly. The general ledger features are very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some instances where there aren't enough filters for the gl reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can't think of any problems that it is solving.
Useful API, but Documentation Needs Enhancements
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Sage Intacct primarily for integration tasks and appreciate its interface, once I became familiar with it. The system's provision of an API that allows me to write integrations without needing custom solutions, utilizing classic REST APIs, is extremely beneficial. I find the documentation regarding the REST API quite helpful, even though I would like it to include a full schema for easier model implementation. Sage Intacct's General Ledger module is particularly enjoyable to work with, providing a rewarding experience during my usage. Moreover, creating a Sage app and authenticating within Sage Intacct's ecosystem for API access has been notably useful. The GL Journal entry integration stands out, particularly because I can specify all the fields needed. Recently added example values have further enhanced my ability to work effectively. Finally, I appreciate the continued development and improvements in the REST API and its documentation, which make me inclined to recommend Sage Intacct to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup of Sage Intacct challenging, particularly due to the confusing user interface. There was a bit of a learning curve until I understood where everything was and how to navigate the system effectively. Additionally, I am frustrated by the lack of a complete JSON schema in the documentation for the REST API. Having such a schema readily available would greatly enhance usability and efficiency in creating integration models.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sage Intacct's API for seamless integrations, allowing me to write efficient integration solutions without custom setups. Its General Ledger module is intuitive after initial use and aids in specifying fields precisely, enhancing my work's effectiveness.
Highly Customizable Platform Tailored to Our Needs
What do you like best about the product?
The customizability of the platform and how it is tailored towards my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confusion over how to create new reports.

Sage is helping us better track accounting and grants.
Streamlined Reporting, But Missing Prepayment Journal Feature
What do you like best about the product?
It is useful as a MAT, the top level reporting streamlines processes
What do you dislike about the product?
The prepayment journal feature was really useful on Sage 200, it is a shame that isn't featured

It makes it easier to complete top level reporting across academies
Easy to Use with Great Courses, But Custom View Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Quite easy to use once you have become used to how to navigate the system. Lots of courses to complete to further your knowledge. Variety of reports are really helpfull
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to preset my own filter on customise view and have this set for all rather than have it automatically show current month (default ).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Payment reminders and monthly statements are now sent automatically from Sage, this saves hours as this used to be done manually through email
Using Sage is Easy and Simple

It is very user-friendly, which makes it easy to learn.

I cannot think of anything at the moment.

Bank Reconciliation - the connected bank feed is really very helpful
Clean Design and Easy UI, But Customization Can Be Overwhelming
What do you like best about the product?
It has a clean design and a straightforward user interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sheer number of customization and reporting options can feel overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct provides our team with an accounting solution that everyone can make use of. Its user-friendly design makes it accessible for users of all experience levels, yet it remains powerful enough to supply our finance team with all the data they require.
Fast, Intuitive, and Effortlessly Customizable
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how quickly it operates and how simple it is to adjust the parameters for whatever I need. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, which really makes things easier for me. I don't have to use it too often, but when I do, I am surprised by how smoothly it runs and can really see the benefit of this program over Sage100.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing would be how different it is from the past Sage 100 product we used. So, it was somewhat like learning a whole new process. Thankfully it wasn't too difficult to grasp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me see exactly what is being spent on a job-to-job basis at a very quick rate. It used to be very time consuming to complete the same tasks.
