Monday.com is my Favorite Tool

What do you like best about the product?
NEW REVIEW: I was a Social Media & Design Intern during college; now that I've graduated, I work as the Marketing Director of a realty team in my town! The team is led by a husband & wife duo and currently has 7 additional agents. When I came on board, the main things the team needed were organization and a digital declutter. Naturally, I suggested a monday.com subscription because it had worked so well in my previous workplace! They were hesitant to buy the subscription at first but after having them test the free version for a week, they agreed. It has been FANTASTIC. The agents primarily use it to receive and manage leads, but it also serves as the main way to interface with teammates, their bosses, and me! I handle their social media, websites, merch, print media, video production, and more — this helps keep all 10 of us on the same page and allows people to bounce around ideas/requests with ease. Given that this is the team's busiest year yet, monday.com has been exceedingly helpful for keeping all that's going on under control. More agents will be joining the team soon as well, and I think being able to browse our task boards will help them get involved faster.
TL;DR my bosses are DEFINITELY happy they took the leap and subscribed.

OLD REVIEW: It's all of the small features that add up to a great experience — from automations and integrations to board customizability to team tagging. Plus there are always new updates coming in! Great features get added constantly. Some are just cosmetic (like dark mode or color options for status columns), while others are major improvements to functionality.
I'm a really forgetful person, so the fact that new automations are always rolling out means that I can set all of the reminders I desperately need across all of my boards and tasks. I'm especially a fan of the ability to write custom notifications which autopopulate using fields from your tasks (ex. {item.owner} needs approval on "{item.name}")!
As a current student, I also LOVE that they have a student program available! Plus monday.com for individuals is always free.
What do you dislike about the product?
NEW: Hate to say it, but the complaint about Google Calendars still stands.

OLD: I can't say much about the downsides because I haven't used other comparable platforms, but I will say that their custom forms could be a bit better (more customizable). I'd also like more compatibility with Google Calendars, but you can work around that by using Zapier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NEW: My current team is also 99% remote, save for monthly team meetings. In addition, most of them have a main job and do real estate on the side. This gives them a distinct platform (separate from their main job) so they can focus on one thing at a time.

OLD: Our team consists of full-time employees who work regular hours in the office (pre-COVID) & student interns who only pop in when they have time, but otherwise work remote. monday.com keeps us all in check even when we're not together. Now with our full team remote in the context of COVID, monday.com is even more important! Because us interns are a social media team, it's also fantastic to have the online form feature. It lets people submit content, which is automatically converted into an item on our to-do list with all the details needed!

What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com is customizable to my business' unique workflow. Every category and input is customizable, and the automation recipes help me manage my projects across both Monday and my inbox. Monday is like a suite of tools that let me actually build the online internal structure of all my projects. It's beeen invaluable during the pandemic. My partners and collaborators also find it a professional space to build our work. I've also really enjoyed attending the webinars which are really beneficial for me to get the hang of tools I hadn't yet explored (I learned a lot of automation recipes there, and learned about the llama farms!). This app makes Salesforce look like a joke, I'm not kidding.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the text inputs are too small, and some label and text color combinations have poor contrast.

The downsides of using Monday.com are perhaps only that folks aren't familiar with it. I'm genuinely surprised it doesn't have the same recognition as Asana and Trello, especially given that Monday is SO much more servicable than those two.

Honestly there isn't much to dislike about the app. I've tried Asana and Trello and none of them are as robust or customizable to my actual work as Monday. My husband uses Salesforce for his work and is routinely jealous of my Monday.com workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the problem of file management and documentation. Managing all our files manually in Google drive as our only file org method is cumbersome at best, but setting everything up chronologically, with clients' (guest account) inputs and notes and on a timeline, means that it's easy for us to review every project and present measurable outcomes to our clients.

What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com is ultimately configurable for all planning and delivery management. If you are struggling at all to find the set up you are looking for the tutorials are some of the best I have found in the industry
What do you dislike about the product?
I am still struggling to get a decent portfolio view that doesn't require double data entry
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distributed team all able to hold a single view. Ability to collaborate with people outside our business (as consultants, this is invaluable)

What do you like best about the product?
I was introduced to Monday.com by my employer and it's made my life 10x more productive and organized. This is the perfect tool for scheduling, tracking, and organizing, and helps keep people up to date and accountbale.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the website has trouble syncing between the mobile app and website, it could be the internet but the whole team seems to run into this issue while using different internet connections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved holding our team accountable, they used to say "no oone ever told me" but with monday we can see when they view projects or comments.

What do you like best about the product?
This platform has helped my work life immensely. I feel 10x more organized. I LOVE IT!!! I wish I can use this platform for my personal life as well - it's differently a game changer! I recommend it highly to any business out there! You spend less time trying to get yourself organized and more time actually doing the work. Monday.com is easy to navigate through and allows you to see how many tasks you completed. I use it to show my supervisor how efficient my days are. I honestly can go and on about how great Monday.com is but you have to try it yourself! I promise you will not regret it! I used to have another project management platform and I hated it so much! It was so hard to navigate through the platform and it was a pain. I write action items for meetings and inputting the action items into that platform was always a hassle. Now with Monday. com it has completely made meeting minutes the easiest! I actually enjoy it more and gives me more time to complete my tasks. I like being able to use my google calendar with Monday.com - the exporting feature is also lovely. You can create your widgets board, you can select multiple tasks to make sure any edits go to all the selected. I RECCOMEND IT X 1000000000!! Thank you Monday.com!

Custom made dashboards for every type of project

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very interactive and easy to use. Platform is very collaborative for teamwork and follow ups. You can sync this platforms with ms teams and others.
Dashboards are easy to make, custom made for each type of project or deliverable.
What do you dislike about the product?
As interactive as it is, it might be a security issue if many peers are updating the dashboard at the same time, this can be easily fixed, but you need a more expensive plan in some cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tasks are more organized and everybody is informed of the priorities coming up.
All tasks stay in one place and can be filtered by project, responsible, status and many others
You can create different dashboards for each project

I recommend to keep one or to administrators and secure the columns that cant be modified so that you can keep everything under control

What do you like best about the product?
Keeping projects organized across multiple departments. Saves time digging through old emails for project details and updates. Customization of each board allows us to use Monday to manage projects, inventory, media plans, training schedules and more
What do you dislike about the product?
Full use can be pricey. Integrations with Gmail seems to break often
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing for one place to go to manage project communications, team tasks, budgets, inventory, onboard and offboards, training schedules and more. Easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very user friendly and intuitive to use. It updates in real-time, making it easy to work with your team and see the latest updates. The platform is easy to use and has a lot of features. Their customer support is very responsive and ready to answer questions and suggest solutions. They are always improving it and rolling out new features. They have a helpful library of YouTube videos and articles on their website that help to explain their product as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can have tasks and subtasks, but you cannot go more granular than that. It would be helpful to be able to go 2 or 3 levels deep. I also wish you could add labels to number columns. But other than a few small things, it is great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com helps us to track the progress of all aspects of our projects, including people assigned, multiple due dates, the status of each part of an project, links, etc. It allows us to provide the team with updates and ask questions organized in the Updates tab of each task. It also helps us to forecast what content we see coming to our team in the future so we can be more proactive and prepared.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Reach out to customer support if you have questions. They are very quick to respond and help you solve your issues! They also have a helpful library of YouTube videos that explain different features, as well as articles on their website. I recommend just messing around with on a board and trying different features so you can get comfortable in the program.

What do you like best about the product?
Sharable boards to add colaborators are the best. Everybody can have visibility of the status of the tasks. Help desk can inquiry people on the field for more information. Adding photos is great to help understand problems and solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not that easy to use from the phone with multiple boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task assignation. Tickets follow up. Online updates, everybody can see what's the status. Contro over collaborators spend time on the plataform, last update, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Using Monday.com is a step that will make your work a lot easier and more organized. It helps you to delegate and follow up quickly.

That you can quickly and in real time check the status of not only your progress, but that of your peers.
