Easy Project Management - Even if you aren't a Project Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com makes it very easy for me to track projects that I am working on. I can create custom boards for each project or a sizeable omnibus tracker for multiple projects. The built-in templates are a great place to get started, and the built-in automations are not only intuitive but make the system fun to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Monday.com is great at making sure that you see when one of your collaborators had made edits or comments in a shared board. However it can be a bit challenging to get through all the notifications to find what is important. For example, if I'm overseeing one board, but don't really need every notification, I cannot customize when I'm notified of changes. This is fine when the board I'm on is one where I'm an end-user. On boards where I am managing the end-users, the notifications can get overwhelming, and it feels a bit like not seeing the forest for the trees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com is vital to my recruiting efforts. In the midst of the tightest job market in a decade, I have to be quick and nimble when it comes to connecting with candidates. Monday.com allows me to not only track where I am in the recruiting process, but it lets me see where my co-workers are. It allows for any of us to assist a candidate who is calling in, even if that candidate is not someone we're actively engaged with. It allows for a seamless experience for our candidates.
Monday has been a lifesaver!
What do you like best about the product?
Monday makes it so easy to keep my team's workload organized. I can get a quick overview of our entire queue and filter by any combination of fields (i.e., status, owner, etc.). Also, customer support has been very helpful with creating different dashboards to create a high overview of things for our executive leadership team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some features on my wishlist for the platform. I would personally like just a little more customization in the MyWork view. For example, being able to see multiple date columns vs having to pick one (we use this as some items may have multiple checkpoints. Also in MyWork, if your looking at a subitem, clicking to view the details of the parents kicks you out of the my work view. Finally, in automations, I'd love to be able to pull text from either board name or group name into the name of a "Create new item" automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Workload view keeps us from stacking too many tasks on one person, and My Work keeps each individual in tune with their tasks. Also, having all our notes in one place has made it easy to reassign the task to another individual to pick up where someone else left off.

Monday is an amazing work OS
What do you like best about the product?
It can do anything!!!! Seriously all the features from Monday and plug-ins. What started as a 4 person monday account grew to our whole company now using it. For Marketing it feels like we have a Monday board for everything! Budgets, document control number tracking, projects, you name it! We love Monday.com and have moved so many of our old excel sheets into amazing boards and workspaces. I have seen a big difference in the orgination of our department, team collaboration... I could go on and on about the review process built in for our projects. I was a Monday.com fan 4 years ago... I am such a bigger fan today. I amazed that they keep adding more and more and find ways to make it even better!!
What do you dislike about the product?
That you can't buy a single seat for personal use. I don't want to put my personal budget on my work account... but dont want to pay $18/month for an account only I will use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com is solving organization, communication, review, just all our issues. people getting the updates they need to keep our customers and employees happy. They know where to find data, and that the data will always be there.
Great for internal organization & wonderful for external presentations!
What do you like best about the product?
The system is highly user-friendly. With very little exposure to monday.com, I was able to navigate everything on my own. The team there is always willing to help as well. There are so many functions that we can use boards for internal department projects, issue tracking, development requests, and so many other things. And when we do use the system to share with our external clients, they are always impressed with how things work & the visibility they have into a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are a pretty small firm, but our projects usually include many individuals, so I would like to allow those users to have a little more control without a cost associated. Similar to a Guest, where if invited to a board they can add notes but only on items they are assigned to. They wouldn't be able to add items to a board but be able to provide an update on their own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Specifically for the Customer Support department, it's helped track customer issues outside of the various software systems we provide. It helps me as a manager to see what issues are open, who has taken ownership to resolve said issue & notes about where we are. Monday.com keeps me from having to request updates from various people & enter those manually into a spreadsheet for the leadership team. I also use it to track my daily activities, anything I work on gets an item.
A Platform that can be used for nearly anything!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can build your boards similarly to your Excel sheets, but with a few clicks, you can show this data in several different ways that could improve your insights a lot. Especially the timeline + Gantt view and the map views are incredible!

Integrations with dutch platforms are minimal, for instance snelstart.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning and project/document management. For the planning, the most beneficial is making several different plan boards based on the same information (i.e., project planning and materials planning). For project/document management, it's mostly the overview we get by just looking at the board and instantly seeing how much green, gray, or red there is. Of course, the availability of all information for our entire team is very beneficial too!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are not sure Monday.com would work for you, the best thing to do would be to build a board to use it but try 2-3 different setups. Then it would be best if you looked at the different ways of viewing the data using the tabs at the top of the boards. Also, try the dashboards to show portions of data in boards. Try to make the boards as complete as possible, and show parts of this board in dashboards.
Balancing Daily Tasks is much easier
What do you like best about the product?
monday.com is a powerhouse. We started using monday in 2021. We did not know anything about the platform but were impressed by the presentation provided to us. The ease of use is something that takes time. This platform can be integrated with so many other third-party platforms. Over the years our company has integrated monday.com as our main work management system. Everything from Applicant Tracking to CRM monday.com can do it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The formula's are not your typical excel formulas but once you understand the difference it is pretty straightforward.
There are a few other features I wish were available such as the ability to reference the output of the formula column with other formulas. This is not an option right now.
The ability to update board items using forms is a feature many of us are still waiting to see released.

monday.com seamlessly integrates with Make.com and Tableau allowing us to create dashboards for each of our departments using real-time data.

It is a great software to keep a track of your workflow and individual progress. It is easy to use and is user-friendly. It allows you to keep a record in a more efficient way. This is a must-have for any progressive organization.
Amazing Time Line Ability
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to customize the timeline views and charts, depending who I need to communicate to. I know everything is up to date automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really like to time track processes to people in a more detailed mannor. The automation to the equation abilities to each team member is sometimes limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com is solving workload issues, miss communication and scheduling changes. Helps clairfy the work types that our team and department receive the most and how we can appropriately staff or train for that type of work moving forward.

What do you like best about the product?
The intuitive interface and evolving integrations and automations across different platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is like any amazing program, you have concerns that you are only using a small portion of what you could be using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enhanced team communication and monitoring, enhanced client communication visual management dashboards, kanbans....basically it integrates a number of different systems into one place.

It is really a fantastic product and the more you want the more it seems to be able to deliver.
