Keeps Our Team Aligned and Projects on Track
What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com is an excellent way to keep our geographically dispersed team coordinated on a variety of activities they need to complete. Individuals have a single place to see all of their open items and project managers can quickly see the status of the overall project. The company has also provided solid customer support when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one area we would like to see improvement is with email communication. We still need to communicate with clients externally and it would be nice if we could either send emails from the product or more easily have email content embedded in the specific board or task it related to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems solved for us by Monday include disorganized tasks, poor communication, missed deadlines, and budget overruns. It does this by providing a centralized platform for planning, execution, and monitoring. For example, it replaces scattered to-do lists, emails, and spreadsheets with a single, structured system for creating, assigning, and tracking tasks and sub-tasks. It also helps our project managers visualize team workloads and capacity, preventing team members from being overbooked or underutilized and ensuring the right people are assigned the right tasks based on their skills and availability.
Flexible Design for Custom Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility of design. It's fantastic for creating custom and powerful project management systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
For all it's capabilities, it is very shallow in some areas. For examples: there is a "Item" level and "Sub-item" level but nothing under this. So you are limited to two orders of organization unless you create a new group or board.

A lot! Ops managemnet, project management, project/customer tracking, time tracking, etc. It is a very flexible system.
Organizational Dynamo with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate monday Work Management for its ability to keep me organized, particularly through the use of boards. These boards make the process of staying on top of my tasks much simpler and more efficient. The feature that enables me to check the calendar and manage work in an organized manner is invaluable to my workflow. Additionally, the setup of monday Work Management was very easy, making the transition to using this tool seamless. Overall, the convenience and organization provided by the boards, along with the easy setup process, significantly enhance my productivity. My positive experience with these features is why I'm very confident recommending it to others and would rate my likelihood of recommending it as a 10 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that I didn't have to put multiple entries if a meeting is going to be for more than an hour.

Flexible and Powerful, but Setup and Integration Need Work
What do you like best about the product?
I find monday Work Management to be an excellent workflow management tool that has significantly helped in tracking and coordinating tasks among team members effectively. I particularly appreciate the UI and the high degree of freedom it offers in creating tasks and adding detailed information using various media types such as documents, videos, and spreadsheets. The ability to use markdown in documents is incredibly useful, as it allows me to neatly organize detailed information about work. Adding videos and pictures directly into documents ensures that the objectives are communicated in an intuitive way, making it easier for everyone to grasp the key points.
What do you dislike about the product?
I experience several challenges using monday Work Management. One of the minor issues is the occurrence of typing errors when I'm writing documents. Moreover, there's an authority issue that occasionally blocks me from editing and accessing a few boards, despite having been granted access by the top-account. A specific example of a typing error is when I start a new line with a '/' slash to generate markdown features; it automatically adds random characters at the beginning without my intention. Additionally, I find the integration capabilities lacking, as the app doesn't efficiently combine with tools like Google Drive, Google Docs, or Google Spreadsheet. This makes it difficult for me to connect and access these online tools seamlessly within Monday. Furthermore, the initial setup was tough, and I had to seek a lot of advice from a senior teammate. Specifically, the 'item' function seemed a bit confusing because it didn't provide support for long text.

Essential Tool That Transformed Our Nonprofit's Workflow
What do you like best about the product?
I love the premade and customizable board templates, the ability to use workforms in various ways (internally or externally to gather information), the ease of assigning team members to tasks, keeping notes and updates organized all in one place, using automations for more seamless workflow, and attaching files from my computer or google drive for the ease of access for all staff. And so much more! It truly has made our small non profit organization run so much more smoother. I am so grateful to have found monday.com and we plan to continue to use it forever!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I dislike anything, I think monday is constantly improving its capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to having Monday.com, we would schedule visits to our organization all through email, it would take a lot of time to set-up visits because we needed to confirm a lot of details which took a lot of back and forth. However, I created an external workform to have everyone set-up/schedule visits with us through this. We get all the information we need in a beautiful table and can just send one confirmation email. We also have their visit linked to our google calendar. It has saved a bunch of time and energy which we can now use for other important tasks. I also set-up a grant management board that helps our team all be in the know, stay on track with grant objectives, reports and budget submission deadlines, and more. It truly has been so helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Monday Work Management is how visual and intuitive it is. The boards and timelines make project tracking simple, and automations save a lot of time by reducing manual updates. It keeps everyone aligned and improves team communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Monday Work Management is very powerful, I think it can be a bit complex for new users. There are so many customization options that it can take a while to figure out the best setup for your team. Also, some advanced features are only available in higher-priced plans (it worth the cost anyway). Monday Work Management is powerful but somewhat limited when it comes to deep customization and integration flexibility. While the API is well-documented, it can feel restrictive in certain use cases — for example, when trying to automate complex workflows or handle large data sets efficiently. Also, the UI framework isn’t very open for custom components, which can make it harder to tailor the platform for specific development needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday solves the problem of scattered communication and unclear responsibilities. Instead of using multiple tools for planning, messaging, and tracking, everything is centralized. This helps our team stay focused, meet deadlines, and clearly see progress in real time.
Monday Supercharged Our Productivity and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Monday has completely transformed our organizations productivity. We used to use Google Sheets but had a difficult time tracking the progress of work over time. Now were able to communicate with each other and look at notes over the life of the project. The automation features and ability to color code make it visually appealing and easy to follow
What do you dislike about the product?
We sometimes find that there are unique situations to our org that cant be tracked on Monday. For example, in the subskills, wed like our timelines to communicate with the overall timeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have items we create that require detailed review and conversation about the items. Monday provides us a space to track the projects and discuss in depth. The notes have been crucial in quality control and communication among our team.

What do you like best about the product?
It is organized and easy to use. I especially appreciate that I can export to excel.

I wish it would allow me to input dates that fall on weekends because sometimes work is not done Monday-Friday.

It allows me to stay on top of current projects and also retain data of completed projects.
