Helpful Feedback to push your organization forward
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there is a transcription of the videos. It's helpful to read along and to take a quick look at what people are saying. I enjoy that you can do so many things with the product, from prototype tests to A/B tests to concept studies. We've found great value in the information we've received from UserTesting, and we've only just begun.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcription is spotty most of the time and not super reliable. I find that I often have to re-type sentences for clips.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are finding if the words and phrases we use are the same ones that our audience uses. We do mainly concept work, and find that this gives us a good jumping off point.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is super helpful and the participants are often motivated to give you helpful feedback. I haven't been disappointed when doing a test.

Great and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Usertesting makes it easy to reach different research demographics, run tests quickly, and run a wide variety of tests.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no guarantee to the quality of the users, or the feedback. There are participants on Usertesting that are "professional testers" that sometimes make it difficult to get high quality feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By working in an office in New York, it's easy to forget that not everyone thinks like people who live in New York City. Usertesting has helped our research reach across the country, without requiring expensive work trips, or syncing our work across dozens of different offices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Usertesting is a great choice if you need to run a high volume of tests, need feedback quickly, and don't want to spend resources recruiting your own panel of users / participants.
UX Leader
What do you like best about the product?
The product is terrific for gaining user insight necessary to help improve our digital products.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of features. The challenge I have is finding the internal resources necessary to take advantage of all the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The challenge is understanding our users better. One of the key benefits is using it outside of typical task-oriented activities, such as image sentiment and competitor analysis.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to screen for specific participants.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love the insights, but I still spend a lot of time having to watch and document all the findings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to do an interim site redesign and wanted to see what were key differentiators amongst top competitors.
Allowing stakeholders to understand deeper product issues.
What do you like best about the product?
Understanding insights and issues direct from our guests helps us to get business backing to support positive change across our digital platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Consolidation of all of this data and feedback can be quite daunting and time consuming to put together. (Not sure if this is a negative, or a UserTesting issue itself.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are primarily using it for testing new ideas and for feature validation. The benefits come from hearing issues that might arise directly from consumers giving us a starting point to dig deeper into analytics to solve the problem.
UserTesting - fast and easy
What do you like best about the product?
The best aspect of UserTesting is the quick turnaround time. It takes only minutes to craft a test plan and once the test is launched, it takes as little as an hour to get quality respondents back.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest challenge that we have with UserTesting is recruiting for a very small customer segment. Because our target customer is so specific, we see a lot of repeat testers who meet those qualifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem UserTesting solves for us is long turnaround times for results and changing the expectation that quality research needs to be long, expensive studies. With UserTesting, we are showing that the organization can learn even better and even faster than what's been done in the past.
Usertesting makes understanding easier
What do you like best about the product?
The repository of pre-created questions and testing patterns makes it easy to get tests up and running with minimal investment.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is that it's not always clear what's the best type of test to run for specific use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UserTesting allows me to understand what my users want and what they're not getting from my product.
Useful platform for gathering quick insights
What do you like best about the product?
I can design and launch a study to get quick feedback within hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are places in UI requiring too many clicks, and features are not organized in a way that makes sense to me. I can't think of specifics at the moment because I don't have it in front of me, but would be happy to provide feedback later if you follow up. Also, I haven't been able to figure out how to quickly capture a clip. Transcriptions are awful :(
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now I'm using it mostly to validate design concepts. Would like to expand to live convos and things like diary studies for more exploratory research.
It does what it is supposed to
What do you like best about the product?
Fast recruitment, highlight reels, options for live convos
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficulty in counter-balancing orders for preference tests (if more than 2 to compare), quality of participants has declined
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Informing and shaping design decisions and product roadmaps
Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
I was designing a panel screener and the platform was easy to navigate and understand what I needed to do
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had more built-in demographics and psychographics I could pull from ahead of my interviews
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
