Easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
It's a quick way to get real user feedback. They have a huge panel which makes it super easy and fast to recruit for specific demographics. Its super easy to make clips and highlight reels to show stakeholders. its also very easy to recruit for moderated studies. They are also great with replacing users if you have participants who don't follow instructions.
I really like the ability to set up and recruit for your own moderated tests. You get to provide your schedule and how long you would prefer your tests, and how much time you would like between tests. It has been amazing to have a moderated test designed one day and be able to actually test with live participants the following day which was not the case in the past.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that i can think of! Any time I've had issue with participants not showing up for moderated studies or not following instructions for unmoderated studies usertesting has been great at replacing the participant.
The only thing may be that sometimes users struggle sharing their screen in zoom. It's difficult at times for them to figure it out and i wish there was a simpler way for them.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So many! I always use usertesting to test any design regardless of how far along it is. I've found it to be extremely helpful to have participants from all over the world with different demographics that I can specifically recruit for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use usertesting to get helpful insights from any specific demographic. Its great to get a fresh set of eyes from participants who may actually use your website or app. There are so many things I would have never thought would be an issue in a design that once its tested and come up make so much sense. So many "light bulb" moments coming from these participants all the time.
If you are looking for a quick and super easy way to design usability studies then user testing is the best way to go.

UserTesting has changed the way the world builds products
What do you like best about the product?
Amazingly fast turn around, with simple guided instructions for setting up new tests. The product includes comprehensive panel screening capabilities, so I can get the exact type of user I'm looking for. Most of the time, however, I'm looking for basic UX feedback so the profile of the users/testers doesn't matter.
After running hundreds of studies, I'm thankful to have tools that allow me to get through videos more quickly. For example, there's a metrics feature that allows me to ask survey-like questions during the test, so I don't have to watch the entire video (just the parts that matter). I can speed up the video to 1.5x or 2x playback speed. I can take notes that are time-stamped to compile feedback afterwards.
Good testing options for both websites and mobile apps.
I haven't used the highlight reels very much but I like that it's availalbe as an option.

What do you dislike about the product?
UserTesting is the most expensive option. They're also the best by far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UserTesting allows us to build products and features alongside our customers. Every button, design decision, pricing offer and experience is validated with real customer feedback. The results has been increased customer statisfaction (NPS) and decreased feature/product redesigns.

What do you dislike about the product?
pricing is steep, feedback users not compatible with our market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
feedback on complex enterprise designs and prototypes.
UserTesting makes testing easy to find valuable insights.
What do you like best about the product?
The larger user base and easy interface are my favorite features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to pre-test messaging and UI before we launch them into production. UserTesting makes it easy to find participants without a lot of effort. Easy to to get quick results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. They have the right feature set and it's easy to use.
The options for how to analyze the data are very helpful.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like is best is that this has a nice clean interface that provides options for different kinds of studies. I like that it prompts me for input so it pretty much creates the test for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish it had more kinds of testing (card sorting, tree jacking, hot spots)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been testing how customers are using our software, what their desired workflows are, and what we need to change. We are working on this iteratively and it's great to use a consistent testing approach that can be saved and compared.
My UX team gets a lot of valuable user insight that drives design decisions for our company.
What do you like best about the product?
The test participant network combined with the screener.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not anything about usertesting that I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
product design problems in terms of using our web applications to serve our customers. Usability, preference, comprehension, and recording of other UX research methods.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
add additional UX research methods like card sorting, tree testing, click through testing with heatmaps and funnel analysis
Tried and true testing platform
What do you like best about the product?
UserTesting is great for getting quick, high-quality feedback from a wide range of populations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The survey components that I used for a remote unmoderated study could be a little bit more robust. If they were to add some more useful features (randomization, skip logic, etc.) to their survey tool, it would provide utility that doesn't exist on other survey platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to conduct remote unmoderated research very easily and get high quality data back. It's nice to be able to have video and audio of users completing tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be afraid to ask for help, they are very responsive!
User Testing Review
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about UserTesting is that we are able to get a ton of different opinions about new product ideas and gain more of an insight into how much value an idea will bring to our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that we are unable to see how many videos we still have to watch on our dashboard. It'd be great to have something that indicates which tests still have unwatched videos. It's also a pain to have to go through each and every video in order to see all of the comments I wrote.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems we're solving involve the usability of the homepage of our website, as well as the effectiveness of the videos we produce. We're also developing more specific, detailed content based on user reviews.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
No recommendations at this time.
Great tool for feedback from the "average user"
What do you like best about the product?
Seeing the user try the app and being able to share their reactions with our team. We often show clips of the videos at our weekly team meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being able to use the same users or specific users would be a helpful feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a remote team and so this allows us to do UX and design testing without having a physical office.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very easy to use, anyone in the company can use it, but it's best to have a set person that runs the tests and analyzes results.
PM Review
What do you like best about the product?
I get insights from people on designs and concepts really quickly!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to make sure I'm getting the right target persona and people given a specific digital health focus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I leverage UserTesting as a way to get feedback on design ands product concepts as we move forward. The ability to leverage anecdotal buy in or disagreement on strategies and designs is helpful making a case to the broader organizations in order to get buy in.
