A must have UX Research Tool for Mature UX Orgs.
What do you like best about the product?
When your user population is easy to find, UserTesting allows you to run unmoderated studies in less than a day. I appreciate how easy the screener is to set up and how intuitive it is to set-up a study. Even more than that, the abi.ity to connect with a support person at a moments notice saves me so much time!
What do you dislike about the product?
Their new cost structure is prohibitive to large organizations - while it benefits those who do their own recruits, it penalizes those of us who use it for their expansive panel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the world of covid - keeping researchers and participates safe through virtual research studies makes the work easier. Once the pandemic is over, UT also allows us to be in many places at once, saving us time and travel.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To get the most out of UT ensure your user population is represented on the panel.

Best qualitative testing platform!
What do you like best about the product?
Love UserTesting - while it can be more pricy than other options, they are 100% worth it! Their capabilities and teams are wonderful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish they had features for quantitative testing, but that's not what they're about right now!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Empathy interviews, iterative & one-time usability testing (prototypes, images, live site), research on digital & physical experiences,
Fast and easy User testing service
What do you like best about the product?
- How quickly it is to create a test plan and send it out. I can get 5 user tests with specific screening questions within the hour!
- I really like how screener questions I have previously used are saved - saves alot of time

What do you dislike about the product?
Some features aren't perfect - e.g. Instant highlight reels sometimes do not play properly / the sound goes out of sync, but that is only a small problem.
In terms of improvements, some features aren't as clear - e.g. can I edit screener questions after sending out the test to one contributor?
In terms of improvements, some features aren't as clear - e.g. can I edit screener questions after sending out the test to one contributor?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly problems related to product development - How usable is our product? Also a lot of discovery research to generally understand how users feel about the product. This has been really helpful to inform our design practices
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth getting a subscription if you want your product to be easily usable!
The best for getting quick feedback on a product or design
What do you like best about the product?
Usertesting.com is great for when you need quick feedback on a product or design. It's easy to use and set up a target audience to test your designs with. Great for product design and ux design teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be pretty pricy depending on how often you use it or the number of designs you need to test.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We test a lot of our designs with internal users but usertesting allows us to test outside of our users and gain a better perspective.
Fast and Efficient User Research
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is extremely easy to use and there are tons of helpful resources to get you started. I have used both the moderated and unmoderated functionality and both work great. The times that I have had to reach out to support for help, they have been extremely quick and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is some functionality that I wish it had, like better randomization capability within the test and more customization in places. There are also times that some things are just slow to load or don't load properly on the analysis side of things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to increase both the number of tests that we complete and the speed at which we can complete those tests. Since we are a very small research team, this has allowed us to work with more design teams throughout the company and integrate research into their processes more effectively.
Ideal for Consumer Feedback but Also Works for B2B Software
What do you like best about the product?
A seamless tool that allows me to set screening criteria templatize it for reuse (and democratization), recruit participants quickly, synchronize moderated tests with my calendar, and handle the compensation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The two most significant drawbacks I've seen are pretty universal across most tools in this space: 1) there are a decent number of "cheaters" who just want to be part of a test and misrepresent themselves (need to get crafty with screening questions to counter this--but UserTesting also makes rating them low easy) and 2) getting a very specific / niche B2B user can be a challenge due to limited sample pool here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
UserTesting.com is helping us further increase the democratization of research within our organization while ensuring consistent quality through both screener and test templates. It also speeds up the process of recruiting and compensating research participants.
Great experience on reviewing g2
What do you like best about the product?
We can get the different views of the users
What do you dislike about the product?
Different users have different views, organizing those data is a time taking process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can reduce the cost of production

UserTesting is a great platform for leveraging UX maturity and gathering customer insights
What do you like best about the product?
The interface and ease of use. There are so many features, a great community and webinars for endless learning. Courses are also tailored so that the platform is not only useful to researchers but marketing, designers, and stakeholders too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, sometimes the recruiting and seats system can be a pain to work out research ops wise. Also, but that's not on them, the platform is so well known both from companies and also from participants that you can tell the participants are used to giving usability feedback. But overall you always get great insights and it changes everything for business decisions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving very product orientated problems, such as navigation and usability but also accessibility. And where's solving strategic more holistic problems as well. The benefits of User Testing is that you can get very quick access to customers, you run studies very quickly and get something to share to your stakeholders that will make them pay attention.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try everything they can offer because they have such a wide range of services it's actually more than just a testing platform
My go to platform to perform quick and thorough user tests
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to set a specific audience, and since UserTesting has a wide range of testers, I am always able to find testers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could take time to recruit users when you are aiming for a narrower audience, but that is natural.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usability testing, user research, surveys
best platform to connect developers and consumers
What do you like best about the product?
Usertesting allocates feedback tests to its testers according to their area of expertise and working domain. Both developers and contributors get mutually benefitted (developers get honest reviews from people who actually use the products or who are prospective consumers, while testers get paid well for their time and quality of review). I have been a contributor on usertesting platform for over an year and it has been a great experience the way along.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike or like being improved on the platform is quicker back-end team's support while tests are running. Right now, all a contributor can do is report any trouble and then wait for support to get back in a day or two. This comes at the cost of letting go of a test in the middle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usertesting helps me utilize my free time in something constructive while making some quick bucks. It feels good to contribute for the betterment of a product or service which I might actually use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend entirely usertesting to people who want to make better use of their free time to make some quick money and also to developers who want their prototypes to be genuinely reviewed and feedbacked.
