What do you like best about the product?
InterSystems IRIS supports multiple data models, including SQL, no SQL, key-value, and object-oriented, for flexible and efficient data management. It provides an integrated development environment for creating and deploying cloud-based enterprise applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
InterSystems IRIS is complex with a lot of features and capabilities, which can make it difficult for new users to get up to speed quickly. Depending on the specific needs and scale of an organisation, InterSystems IRIS can be more expensive than other data management solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
InterSystems IRIS provides a comprehensive data management platform that can handle a wide range of data types and structures, including traditional relational data, multi-model data, and big data.
It Includes a powerful analytics platform that allows organisations to quickly and easily perform complex data analysis and data processing tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very performant, and easy to setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The IDE would benefit from having Source-Code Control built in, possibly to GitHub or similar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Messaging between disparate and complex systems.
Fast, Flexible, and Scalable
What do you like best about the product?
IRIS includes loads of options to do whatever it is you do. You can now even do your programming in Python, which opens up a ton of new possibilities. It's been very rare that we've run into something that IRIS didn't have the built-in functionality to get the job done. When you need help, both the community website and the customer service are great. In fact, you can get to talk to actual people at InterSystems very quickly!
What do you dislike about the product?
IRIS is a bit pricier than most other solutions, and their built-in Analytics tool is a little bit inelegant and clunky to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We provide an industry-specific ERP solution. We run almost all of that system on IRIS. The only things we haven't been using InterSystems products for are barcode recognition and displaying reports, and we are working on migrating to InterSystems Reports - which is available at no charge with IRIS - for the latter. This is a very high performance database, and we aren't yet even taking advantage of all of the technologies they offer to improve the performance, such as table sharding.
Best Interoperability platform for any healthcare use-cases
What do you like best about the product?
I work as an engineering delivery manager. It has been more than 12 years, I have been working with cache database, cache object script, and IRIS (Ensemble). It always provides the flexibility to customize based on unique customer needs. No one in the current industry can beat the processing speed and throughput on this platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Intersystems delayed the release of the production-ready docker image or containers, operators etc for the IRIS platform, which restricted us from using it on AKS clusters. Quicker release on containers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve anything and everything about healthcare data interoperability across LABS and Hospitals in the United States. Using the Intersystems platform helps scale up infrastructure quickly and onboard new customers quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
The security, performance, built in object functionality and tight integration, which ensures rapid solution development and fail safe delivery of the most complex requirement in a simplified object structure. The Business Intelligence and unstructured data capabilities in the core of the system, provided by a single stack environment. No other development environment provides the levels of integrated functionality and ability to develop such powerful business objects. The connectivity engine is robust and has high levels of functionality and performance.

The challenges to be faced by the developer community to satisfy business knowledge and experience when world wide adoption takes off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Complex multi national business integration requirements in a multi lingual, multi tenancy solution. Proven rapid provision of any required solution by utilisation of our methodology and existing business objects, gauranteed to work from the offset.

What do you like best about the product?
I am working with the IRIS database. I did not know the tool until then, because it is not so well known. After my first contact, I was surprised by the stability and security of IRIS. An extremely fast and easy to maintain database.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't had time to find something not positive yet. I am still just getting to know the tool and being amazed by all the possibilities that it allows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IRIS is the tool we use for our developments, and because it works with the health area, it is the ideal tool.
Powerful ESB tool with a database included
What do you like best about the product?
Caché Database included, easy to develop, and a good monitoring that allow you to easily track every incoming and outgoing messages
What do you dislike about the product?
BI reports (deepSee) are a bit dated, and it is very difficult to modify the generated report
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Intersystems IRIS to track every messages coming into my applications, using Interoperability. It makes us win a lot of time , because we can easily see where the problem is located.
