Scaling data activation the right way
What do you like best about the product?
Hightouch is absurdly easy to implement. The pace of development of the product has also been remarkable. They seem to listen to their customers and rapidly improve the customer based on the feedback they receive
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to think of things to complain about with Hightouch. I suppose one area they could improve on for now is the documentation around certain connectors, so that users can have a better picture of what's going on behind the scenes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without Hightouch, it would be hard for us to find the time or pathway to properly "operationalize" our data warehouse by sending valuable data from it to business systems like our CRM, Marketing platform, etc

Time saving and unblocking tool with great support
What do you like best about the product?
not needing to deal with various destinations' custom APIs, having quick support responses and willingness to make feature changes and product improvements to meet our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes some small behaviours are not as expected, but usually that's resolved with the CX team. could be nice to have some more structure to syncs and models other than just labels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developer time spent on building out custom scripts, specifically taking care of API usage limits and testing for incremental changes.

Great tool that saves a lot of time!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ability to connect several different tools together without spending time on setup. Before Hightouch, we had to spend a lot of time on writing API queries and making sure the data we send is in the right format. Now we can just concentrate on the business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hightouch takes a little getting used to, especially if you are used to using traditional APIs. For example, you cannot really customize your data before sending it with the API - for any modification you need to update data in your source. It is not a big issue since modifying your data during the API call itself is not a good practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Hightouch to push data to our tracking visualizing tools, CRM systems, google sheets, and more.
Compared to traditional APIs, with Hightouch we do not have to worry about fails and the new API versions, since Hightouch handles that for us.

Made signup attribution a possibility
What do you like best about the product?
Hightouch gave us a way of easily pulling in marketing information for users who signup to our platform into our CRM. This was a real gap in our knowledge and Hightouch was a very easy-to-implement connector that bridged that knowledge gap, which has helped us better inform marketing channel performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to be honest, the tool is robust and the support was very helpful. I'd highly recommend
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing attribution for signups. This helps us better inform our marketing efforst by truly understanding the value that signups bring us and how those leads are performing down the sales funnel.
Perfect for transferring conversion data to ad platforms
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is easy to navigate and we now have stable uploads that sync with our other data transfers. I feel secure in that our ad platforms are getting timely and high-quality conversion data daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Troubleshooting an issue from Europe can take several days as the support is located in the US.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hightouch solves the problem of uploading backend conversion data to ad platforms. Before HT, we had a setup of passing data from our data warehouse via a spreadsheet to the ad platforms, which was prone to breakage and didn't account for any sync issues or data breakage.
Had a great experience with reverse ETL flows - smooth and seamless :)
What do you like best about the product?
With the available suite of connectors and no code integration, I was able to connect to several platforms for reverse ETL with a few button clicks! This is magic in motion :)
What do you dislike about the product?
It's compulsory to select IDs manually for a common key. It would be great if the tool can auto-identify a common ID based on the datasets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Certain CRM tools do not have features to provide custom fields. I'm creating those using hightouch - for example, defining high-value customers through a snowflake script and integrating it into Intercomm. I use hightouch to send custom mailing lists as well to customer.io
The tool makes it dead simple to sync from our analytics DB to other systems.
What do you like best about the product?
The benefit of using something like hightouch over a native integration built within an app is that you get some nice logs/notification features as well as some other niceities. Overall, it's just a more advanced tool and it doesn't add much technical overhead.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have many things I dislike about Hightouch. Every issue I've had has been quickly resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hightouch does what it says. It syncs data from our analytics DB to other systems in a "reverse-etl/elt" manner.

What do you like best about the product?
Overall Hightouch just does the job we want it to do, easily and with great customisation options.
* We set up Hightouch and 20 syncs so far, ranging from core Salesforce to Amplitude user properties, Google sheets datasets (For finance) and operational alerts through Slack (think customers exceeding soft limits in our product)
* Allowed us to remove 3 legacy sync-services (Salesforce), which has freed up our engineering team, as well as increased time to value for Sales, Marketing
* We have a full lineage with our ingestion pipelines/dbt transformations and Hightouch, which means if something breaks upstream we don't send bad data through our Hightouch syncs. We did this by implementing the Hightouch <> dbt exposure sync, Airflow then picks up the exposure and triggers the sync for us.
* We set up Hightouch and 20 syncs so far, ranging from core Salesforce to Amplitude user properties, Google sheets datasets (For finance) and operational alerts through Slack (think customers exceeding soft limits in our product)

What do you dislike about the product?
You just need to be careful if you are using an ingestion tool like Fivetran with Hightouch. It pays to turn off the Hightouch fields in Fivetran so that every time Hightouch updates a field, Fivetran doesn't register it as an update (assuming you don't need those fields ingested). Otherwise, you can blow out your Fivetran bill quite a bit.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hightouch allows us to embed data into our internal customers every day workflow. We don't want to gate keep our clean warehouse data behind dashboards, we want our team members to use it in everyday decision-making, in their tools of trade. Hightouch allows us to do that, very easily and cheap (for the value it provides us)
If you can write SQL, you can use hightouch
What do you like best about the product?
Makes it simple to do ETL with a clear division between your data sources and data destinations. This is done cheaply and straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Error messages are not the most helpful, I often find I am only able to debug failed loads because I am very close to the data.
- Not able to set the time of day at which your data sync happens - as far as I can tell this happens every 24h from the time at which you set up a sync
- Adding descriptions for each of your syncs is not supported so figuring out what other people have done is often down to looking into the SQL in detail

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ETL and keeping data destinations in sync is very simple and easy to set up - no knowledge of data infrastructure is required as a 'regular' user.
Their product is great and does everything it promises, and more!
What do you like best about the product?
It's an incredibly flexible product. I love that you have access to so many different sources and can leverage automation to an ever-growing list of destinations
What do you dislike about the product?
Ultimately it's still a new product and may not have every source or destination you would like today. That said, their team is incredibly receptive, moves quickly, and is always looking for new functionality to build into the product.

We have invested a lot of time and energy into building out a data warehouse. Hightouch allows us to leverage this data to propagate downstream tools, allowing business owners to develop complex workflows that previously required significant engineering involvement.
