Hightouch provides great reverse ETL capabilities and key integrations with other data tools.
What do you like best about the product?
Hightouch effectively integrates with DBT, which is a key differentiator. It allows us to see our data lineage, from ingestion all the way through to delivery.
They are also developing new GitHub integrations, which enable CI/CD capabilities!

What do you dislike about the product?
The logs in Hightouch are not as effective as I'd like. In particular, the error and logging when setting up DBT integrations is not very helpful.
If they improved these logs, I wouldn't need to constantly refresh the page/wonder how long a process is going to take.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hightouch is solving our reverse ETL issues. It effectively transfers data from our Snowflake instance to our Google Sheets, which has supercharged our operations teams!

Monstrous number of possibilities wrapped in a tidy cover
What do you like best about the product?
Possibility of organising tasks that belong to different teams or different projects to sections and boards; availability to assign custome projects and labels; availability of scope estimation.
What do you dislike about the product?
When prying tasks by label, it is not possible (or at least not intuitive) in how select task in either any of selected several labels, it looks for tasks that would belong to listed labels simultaneously. It's unclear from the beginning what is the conversion between scopempetters (xs,s, etc) and numbers when this is summarised on boards or cycles. Takes time to figure out that xs = 1 scope unit for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organising tasks and filtering and discussing them through several iterations (triage => backlog => selected for next sprint => todo). This helps to keep sane and track what is going on in a fast growing company.
Works well for our organization
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up new data destinations and sources. Intuitive UI means the data team can enable users to DIY. When I have issues the CS team is very helpful and quick to respond
What do you dislike about the product?
We do see quite a few errors of "The service is currently unavailable." In an ideal world this would not happen or there would be a way to automatically rerun on errors
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enables the data team to send information from our databases back to tools like email sending and google sheets for business users. I also like the cron timing feature (might be nice to integrate cron guru or similar)
Great Software for Growth Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Hightouch is an amazing tool to help you interconnect tools and workflows, launch specific triggers and start them whenever you want. Hightouch + Snowflake + N8n is a masterclass !
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to have an agency plan in order not to have to great numerous workspaces when you are managing several accounts and profiles . However, very few inconvenients
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating Worflows and connecting warehouses such as snowflake with N8n or Zappier. Really easy to setup with SQL Editors and connection API. It allows me to automatize a lot of workflows
Extremely useful tool for moving data from our warehouse to email marketing, CRM, etc.
What do you like best about the product?
I'm already writing SQL queries to understand users, accounts, etc. and Hightouch makes it easy to push those insights or fields from the data warehouse (Snowflake in our case) over to a CRM like HubSpot or Salesforce and also pushing information about users and accounts into our email marketing tool (Customer.io)
What do you dislike about the product?
With any tool that offers a lot of integrations and different options for mapping data, pulling things from one place and pushing them to another, things can get messy. I don't think there's a great solution to this other than having good processes and systems amongst the teams using Hightouch, the data warehouse, and other tools like dbt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pushing product usage data from our data warehouse into the CRM allows sales and customer success to have the data they need in the tool where they spend the most time. Also, pushing some of the same product usage data from our warehouse into email marketing tools to create more customized messages for customers.
Looks like a really useful tool and will fit in well with our business needs.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use of the system. Very knowledgeable staff on hand to answer any questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Terminology is a little confusing at times, perhaps could be improved. Early set up meetings seemed a bit chaotic and lacked direction at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enabling us to push audiences to multiple platforms quickly and easily.
Very easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's very straight forward and easy. I could start synching in a couple of minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs more configuration options, or perhaps more information. It was taking too long to synch and I for example I could't know if it was the time between request and also didn't hava an option to change it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to connect Snowflake to Intercom. It will help us to replace an inhouse solution that was hard to configure and took a lot to maintain, so is lowering our cost.
Effective & Simple Reverse ETL Tool!!
What do you like best about the product?
Hightouch is a super simple reverse ETL tool that allowed me to pump the data my team needed back upstream from our warehouse to salesforce. So much easier & cheaper than a comparable option in Segment Personas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too much. UI is intuitive & I was up and running almost instantly. It could be better to create multiple models in the same space that are connecting to the same tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting personalized & transformed data from our warehouse upstream to CRM tools like SFDC. This empowers our sales team to have data they need in their domain without having to query our BI tools.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
Declarative and ease of use. Simple integration with no programing
What do you dislike about the product?
Some limitations with platform events. Would like to see the feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reverse ETL
Best reverse ETL tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to set up - less than 20 minutes to get it integrated with Snowflake, and get our first model and syncs up and running. Hightouch also just works; I've never had an issue with any of our syncs
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike. I guess a few more connectors available for the longer tail of our business source app usage, especially in the HR space (i.e. BambooHR, Lever). But other than that, not much to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was a very straightforward business problem that was complicated to solve before Hightouch - I have views in our data warehouse that would be useful for our business teams in their source apps. Hightouch allows me to sync these views to Salesforce, Marketo, Netsuite, etc.
