Celonis, more than analyzing the current process. It is a platform for process improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Changes or customizing of the process analytics definitions can be done rapidly and verified with the whole dataset without the IT department.
Implementation time is very short.
In our company, it was not possible to have one overview about detail scheduling and the process from the production order handling until the usage decision and later on to the delivery.
The system structure with 4 different SAP systems avoid benchmark between the production locations.
In the beginning it was very difficult because we had to get used to the functionality of the tool first.
The product itself is great and already in standard implementation does provide excellent inside into processes and non-expected outcome.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Tool is used in the company in the past only for financial analyses and some cases in the supply chain.
We have the situation, that we have to harmonize our processes in the production but we doesn`t have a complete overview about all production sites worldwide.
The data mining and the Harmonization from the processes is the key to change from the current SAP R3 system to the S4 Hana system.
We want to use the tool to avoid / reduce variances in the future.

Analysis and structure of Process get very clear. Problems within Process flow can be analysed
Depending on the component they are more (Process Analytics) or less (Business Views) user-friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
Quick insights for relevant KPIs in Celonis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the fact that these reports/dashboards cannot be exported automatically on regular basis as a pdf-file to some email-address recipient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly working with FI-area, so I am identifying vendors "with problems" and try to find a reason for non-touchless posting, for instance.
Powerful tool to act on business process inefficiencies even before they occur
What do you like best about the product?
Celonis EMS proofed the ability to unveil the real processes being executed under the hood of our systems, helping us to explain already known inefficiencies and to find new ones. Its most important feature is the ability to act immediately on the processes through direct instructions to the end users or by interacting directly with other systems. And since we're talking about identifying patterns in processes, it's even possible to anticipate them and act even before the problem ahead occurs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Process Mining isn't "Process Magic", which means there is still some effort and knowledge of the process needed beforehand to instruct the tool on how to "mine" the process for you, mainly if we’re talking about processes that were never explored with Celonis before. There could be a friendlier tool to link the business data to Celonis allowing faster integration and easier data transformation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’ve thoroughly analyzed our credit recovery process and we were able to observe some of the inefficiencies we already knew but also to discover new ones. Once we found their root causes, we let Celonis notify the end users to execute the most important activities. By focusing the users on what to do first and when, we were able to reduce the time to recover credit which is crucial to our activity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you don't get confused by the similarity of some of the visuals that Celonis provides with those that you find in BI tools. Celonis will give you a very accurate vision on how your processes are being executed and, more than that, it will allow you to immediately act on them. If you go for a Proof-of-Concept before you take a decision, make sure you get a solid use case that can show these features working right from the start. Also, don't be afraid of your first reaction when the results start showing up. It will be something like “I’m pretty sure that can’t possibly be right” but be prepared because… maybe it is. Don’t forget Celonis will be looking for what’s happening “under the hood” and sometimes we’re happy that the car is running fine but we’re not aware it could be running much more efficiently and excelling in its performance.

A ground breaking technology that allows full visibility of our processes, identifying weak spots and bottleneck and making is easy and intuitive to act. The right leverage to transform data to information and to go from process sample analysis to full data analysis.

Complex adaptation of pre-developed extractors with our company's infrastructure requirements.

We have found several use cases for Celonis. We are leveraging the insight engine to identify process inefficiencies or non-compliance. provide efficiencies in the internal audit process and process metrics.

Live data from the ERP in a format/analysis you can devise according to needs

Maybe the datamodel could be more flexible and new connections possible according to needs of a dashboard

We are only at the start of the process, specifically for my project I now have ways to track DSO success and also anticipate on billing error rate for customers who will be onboarded into e-invoicing automation.
Celonis has given us the tools to transform our Supply Chain
What do you like best about the product?
Celonis is incredibly user friendly and enabled our organization to become more agile. We use this tool to transform our data into actionable tasks and are constantly updating the dashboards as we improve as an organization. It has allowed us to keep raising the bar to better service our customers. Celonis has brought so much visibility to our data that would never have been possible without this tool. We can drive to the true root cause of our process gaps with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to note. Celonis is meeting all of our expectations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to examine our processes and uncover how we could eliminate waste, increase our On-Time Delivery rate, improve customer satisfaction and be more aligned as a Supply Chain. We can now quickly spot process gaps, implement solutions, and monitor their control plan directly in the tool. Pre- Celonis, we would talk about KPI's - but now we can take meaningful actions to improve our business. Celonis has helped us develop a very clear project pipeline and it has brought us closer as an organization by breaking down silos and allowing our whole team to view unemotional data at face value. Celonis has enabled us to go from firefighting to see clear lines of accountability at all steps in our Order-to-Cash process. Lastly, we have been able to turn almost everything into a KPI that can be tracked and managed, so at the management level - we know exactly where we have value leakage - and exactly what steps we need to take to close the gaps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you have top down leadership support. Ensure you have a solid support team internally. Those in the analyst roles should have good subject matter expertise, project management skills, and analytical skills. We had a small dedicated project team that really drove our organizations transformation.
