Effortlessly Keeps Our Files Organized and Secure

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the ease of use that Dropbox offers; setting it up is straightforward and doesn't present any complications. The drag-and-drop feature is incredibly convenient, allowing me to move files from external sources into Dropbox easily, without the hassle of compression or format changes. This not only saves me a significant amount of time but also maintains the integrity of my files. Dropbox's capacity for managing and organizing files efficiently is crucial for keeping our staff files separated and secure, ensuring that sensitive information is not accessible to external parties. The accessibility feature is another benefit; having important files available in a location that is easily accessible to administrators simplifies the management of our files and enhances convenience in our organizational routine. Overall, these features make Dropbox a preferred and preferred choice in my company, and I'd rate my likelihood of recommending it to colleagues as a perfect ten.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Dropbox requires people I share files with to have their own accounts to drop large files into my Dropbox. It would be more convenient if they could upload files without needing an account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for convenient file accessibility and organization, separating important files securely from staff without external access, and saving time with easy drag-and-drop features.

Secure and Accessible File Storage, But Upgrades Are Pricey

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a secure place to hold files commonly used. And, most importantly, I am able to access these files anywhere. I also like that I can have a folder integrated within my MacBook.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too pricy for upgrading from the free 2 GB plan. Would consider if a midrange option was offered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My personal account allows me to access and share documents across multiple platforms, where I might normally have to go home to retrieve them from the source.

My business account allows for file sharing and collaboration among customers and coworkers. A typical use: Photos and documents are shared with our customer to gain approval prior to shipment.

Seamless Collaboration, but Free Storage Limits Can Frustrate Small Teams

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a reliable backbone for my client-facing workflows. As a web designer and creative director, I use it to manage contracts, branding assets, and modular design systems across teams. The version history and sync speed are especially valuable when iterating on documents or visual assets—no lost progress, no confusion. It’s also intuitive enough that clients can access shared folders without hand-holding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free tier is too limited for professional use, and occasional sync delays between desktop and mobile can disrupt fast-paced collaboration. I’d also love more granular permission controls for shared folders—especially when juggling sensitive legal files and creative assets in the same workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the chaos of scattered file storage and inconsistent version control. As a legal consultant and creative director, I manage contracts, branding assets, and modular design systems across multiple clients and collaborators. Dropbox centralizes everything—whether it’s a signed agreement or a print-ready merch mockup—into one accessible, organized hub. The ability to comment directly on files and track revisions helps me maintain clarity and accountability without endless email threads.

Reliable Storage with Room for UI Improvement

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for about fifteen years for a variety of purposes, including collaboration and backups. I appreciate its core functionality of storing files, enabling me to access them later. This feature allows me to keep a safe backup of my files, offering peace of mind. Moreover, Dropbox's safety, availability, and longevity are significant factors that would encourage me to consider purchasing it again. I also like the applications like Microsoft Office that I can access.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the Dropbox desktop application difficult and sometimes confusing. Additionally, the web application is confusing and cumbersome. The search functionality is not very effective compared to Google's, making it challenging to find files efficiently. The organization of files and inconsistent use of right-click options also add to the confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to store and access files securely, providing a reliable backup and aiding collaboration while ensuring file safety, availability, and longevity.

Reliable Document Storage, Needs Better Sharing Features

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the robust file system that Dropbox offers. It's become an integral part of my business and personal life, acting as a reliable filing cabinet for storing documents and files. This traditional file structure aligns with the way I understand computer infrastructure, which is something I’m comfortable with due to my familiarity with it over the years. I enjoy the accessibility that Dropbox provides as an easy-to-use hard drive, allowing me to store files efficiently without having to go through the process of uploading, unlike some other platforms. Furthermore, the scan features of Dropbox have integrated well into my workflow, simplifying my file management tasks. The cost-effectiveness of Dropbox is also appealing, making it a practical choice for my current needs. Overall, Dropbox offers a level of convenience and familiarity that I find very beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the initial setup of Dropbox to be quite difficult, especially since I had to manage multiple stores and ensure synchronized access across various devices. The challenge was to both share and keep information separate, while managing user controls. This complexity was compounded by Dropbox being both a desktop app and a cloud system. Additionally, the sharing capabilities could be improved as they are not as seamless or easy to use in comparison to other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
