Effortless Document Management, Could Improve Storage Costs

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Dropbox for its ease of setup, which was very straightforward and hassle-free. The user-friendly interface in the app makes it simple to activate and find documents from any application, which is incredibly beneficial for my workflow. I particularly value the document retention and access features that allow quick and easy access to necessary saved documents, enhancing my productivity significantly. Additionally, the ability to integrate Dropbox with Microsoft Office seamlessly is another useful aspect that supports my daily tasks effectively. Dropbox's potential for increased capacity with reasonable fees also stands out as a compelling factor for continued use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the limited storage capacity at the current cost level. I wish for more storage with lower fees, as it would make the service more cost-effective for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Dropbox simplifies document access and retention with a good app interface, enhancing productivity with quick access to necessary documents.

Universal and Easy to Use, But Be Cautious with Deletions

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for over 10 years, and I primarily use it for photo storage for clients, documents, and collaborating with teammates. I appreciate Dropbox's universality and the better options it offers compared to other services like iCloud. I love its capability to automatically upload files to the cloud after saving them to my desktop, and its easy URL sharing feature, which significantly simplifies sending files and folders to others. The setup was effortless, as I just needed to create the required folders and install the application on my computer and phone. The software is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for me to share photos with clients without the hassle of large file transfers. It also allows me to save work items remotely, freeing up space on my computer, as I can access my files from anywhere without needing them physically on my device. The ease of use and the accessible interface on both desktop and mobile devices are features I frequently rely on. I also find the pricing competitive, with Dropbox being a widely trusted and recognized platform. The application's universality and ease of use are its most compelling attributes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how if I delete something on my desktop that it deletes it from the entire cloud. I sometimes have folders on my desktop that I don't need to access anymore, but I realized that if I deleted them on there, it also deleted them from the cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to easily share photos with clients, access files from anywhere, and free up space on my computer. It eliminates the hassle of sending large files and allows for seamless collaboration with teammates.

Managing Partner

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is widely recognized and used by many groups. When you mention Dropbox, almost everyone knows what you mean. The free trial available when you first start using it is helpful, as it allows you to determine if it is the right tool for your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find most frustrating is the limitations placed on the free trial. It would be useful if you could set restrictions on a file, as that feature would really help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing large files via email can be difficult, and it is often challenging to ensure that everyone is working with the most up-to-date version of a document. When using Dropbox to share files, this issue is greatly reduced since the file is stored in a single location. Additionally, because you can share with multiple people at once, it becomes much easier to keep everyone updated without having to email updates to each person.

Dropbox has been such a blessing in my work. I use it to share my healing journals and guides with people who are going through their own healing journey. What do you dislike about the product?
As a start-up It's the fee to upgrade but will definitely upgrade hopefully soon.

DropBox: Not just storage, but coordination.

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I take advantage of DropBox to have a central location for all the support files needed for AutoCAD available to multiple devices.
I have also seamlessly coordinated working files with colleagues; this is the strongest feature of DropBox: sharing. Simply right-click on a folder or file and copy the link into an email and my clients have access to their files (I create).
What do you dislike about the product?
The size available on their free account (2GB) will fill up quickly, so I've spent the money on a "Plus" account (2 TB).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping my clients' work up to date and accessible.

Seamless Multi-Device Access, But Login Process Can Be Tedious

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox, at least every time is an option to be access whenever I have issues on a multi device environment or when sharing information with someone in a different country for example. It’s also nice that it’s set up as eight default within the Apple iOS software. It makes it so much more compatible.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be incorporated into Microsoft Office suite, and all this logging in and logging out is sometimes a little overwhelming
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I believe you to share documents amongst different stakeholders.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to share with other people, very low learning curve.

As a Mac user, I find the dropbox "app" for Mac very limited and underwhelming. There's very little administrative control I can do without having to actually open a web browser and log into my Dropbox account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing of photos and other media with clients

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Convinience that I can access my stuff on the go; therefore, I awlays use it. It is also very easy to install and access once I download the app from App Store or Play Store.

Considering there are a lot of personal cloud device and NAS device, the subscription fee can be adjusted to be more competitive or additional features would be recommended to justify the subscription fee.

That I can have access to my file anywhere without device limitations.

Easy File Sharing, But Disappointing Storage and Support Experience

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
File sharing is pretty easy to use for my clients
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I built up a lot of storage since I started with Dropbox as a beta tested then It suggested a free trial of the business account and then when I went back to the regular plan all of my storage was gone I tried reaching out on several occasions and never got a response back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a photographer I need to be able to share images and Dropbox makes it easy for me to do so
