Convenient way to share docs across multiple organizations

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Like the user friendly features such as offering a free trial, the pricing is reasonable and accounts for reduced pricing for team usage. Also like the fact that you don't need to sign up to view documents shared by others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does have relatively constrained features, not much flexibility to do a lot of operations on the documents. We primarily use it to store and share docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily use it to store and share docs. Some times different teams within the same organization use varying offerings for this purpose which need differing levels of permissions, pricing, sign-ups etc. Dropbox is a convenient way to share docs quickly across all the levels regardless of what permissions they have and what solutions they have signed up for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it for heterogenous teams but be prepared for the restricted capabilities and supplement them with other solutions if possible

Advanced data collaboration tool

  • November 16, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a content collaboration tool, it is my every day requirement to get started with my work, as I can easily search the right piece of information for my new tasks. This tool is very user-friendly and no complex technicalities are involved with it. Its dashboard is quite appealing and the tool is easy to customize as well. Till now I have stored much data on this platform and never faced any issue about files upload.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their customer support is not that much supportive and you have to wait long in case of any issue. Further continuous pop up of the previous pictures gives it a bulky appearance and also sometimes you delete the picture intentionally still it shows it on the screen that looks quite messy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I feel more connected with my team by working with Dropbox, because I can give them access to my Dropbox, so we can carry out our work with much ease. This tool is very much precise in its working, in the case if I ever delete some file, it provides me the backup, and thus I am not at all worried about any data security.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool is highly suggested to everyone not only for business purpose but try can also store the family pictures and the relatable data. For the business it is a universal platform that would benefit everyone.

Functional & Useful Storage If/When Needed

  • November 11, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox can be accessed via a simple account creation process upon invitation & allows for reliable storage of important documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
One person's likes are another person's dislikes - so what may be taken as elegant simplicity at one point in time can be a naive reduced set of capacities at a later point in time (as features have been added since the time Dropbox was first made available).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accessing documents made available by third-parties as well as making documents available (e.g. those too large to be accepted as electronic mail attachments) are problems that Dropbox can help solve.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Little to lose by creating an account & giving the service a try... but carefully consider the context of any need for the same (i.e. whether one truly needs what is being offered!)...

Dropbox-Boon for users like me

  • November 07, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It works very well in syncing across multiple devices. It provides free space till 4 GB. The software integrates with google docs and ms office, which helps in keeping data secure. The file and folder sharing system is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although they provide 4 GB space, one always wants more. The one feature where one account could have been used for plenty of devices has been curtailed to 3 devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration for various tasks and keeping important work related data on the cloud to be accessed by anyone from the team from anywhere. It has been very handy to have all data handy anywhere on the go.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have been using Dropbox for over 5 years now. The tool has been robust and reliable and I have not encountered any issue till date. I would recommend anyone considering Dropbox to go ahead with it if it fits their technical requirements.

Dropbox Business - lifesaver for remote teams

  • November 06, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I honestly can't say enough good things about Dropbox. It...just works. The implementation on Mac, PC, Web and iOS is consistent, easy to use and reliable. The storage options/team plans on Dropbox Business and Enterprise are cost effective. Speed is strong. File org and syncing to desktop is seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest complaint is necessarily about Dropbox, but rather the process of getting corporate IT functions to "trust" the security of a cloud service like Dropbox. Understandable with the consumer facing implementation, but with the extra security and layers built in to Business and Enterprise, I'd argue that it's more secure and robust than our in-office solutions. That process was the hardest part of our implementation - not actually using the product!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a team in multiple locations and, pre-COVID, we were traveling a lot. We are constantly sharing files, and our server/VPN setup was not cutting it - reliability was an issue, but more importantly SPEED. Dropbox fixed all of that and with the new(er) Transfer features, it's allowed us to carefully share relevant files with people outside our core team. I like the cross-platform nature (we're mixed between Mac and PC) and the mobile implementation is commendable.

Great data storage and collaboration tool

  • November 06, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a great tool for storing and sharing data. Dropbox is very easy to use and backing data can be done very easily. I think that the ability to work anywhere, even without internet access, is another great feature of Dropbox. There is another great feature that allows you to retrieve a document if it's unintentionally deleted. Yet another feature of Dropbox is the History feature that allows you to view previous versions of a file. I think that Dropbox is one of the best file sharing apps on the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been instances where Dropbox has not updated data in real time. This can sometimes be a bit frustrating when collaborating on data that is being updated in real time. I think another drawback of using Dropbox is the fact that users are not allowed to encrypt their data before uploading it to Dropbox. Dropbox also does not provide live support. Support can be reached via email. However, there is a Frequently Asked Questions section.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There have been many benefits our team has realized from using Dropbox. Dropbox allows us to have access to our files quickly and easily. Data retrieval is great with this tool. Dropbox is also a great product that allows for easy navigation and organization of files. Dropbox has allowed our team to collaborate much easier.

Dropbox Review

  • November 01, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a fantastic software for cloud storage. It's easy to use and the interface is well designed for beginners to understand. You can use it for free with up to 2GB space. You can upload files and create folders on Dropbox to sort them. This ensures that your files are categorized and are easy to find when necessary. You can share these files through email or you can share the downloadable URL with people and they'll be able to access them. In addition, it's also helpful when you want to move files from one device to another.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really say I've found anything to dislike in Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox on a consistent basis to store necessary files. It's also provided me with a convenient way to move files from my PC to phone and vice versa. While working remotely, there are many instances where I need to share files with my colleagues and Dropbox has been very helpful to us in this area. Dropbox has been an excellent enabler in allowing us to collaborate during our daily work tasks as well as with our projects. Dropbox being accessible from any device is a huge benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using Dropbox as I find it to be a reliable and secure form of cloud storage. The fact that it's available for free is a good enough reason to try it, in my opinion.

What do you like best about the product?
i like that dropbox is a secure place for all your important documents ,data and all other informations. It let's you structure the data by folders as per your need. You can get shareable links of files for sharing purpose. You can securely keep and share you files. Also it has an android app so it is way convenient and secure to access your files across all your devices. The android app is also very good, secure and well designed. It is very useful when you want to access your files from a remote location
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that initially it offers a less space. you have to upgrade for more space. sometimes the application crashes on android and behaves abnormally. It is fast and convenient but not as good as Google drive and OneDrive. It is popular in enterprises but not popular for common users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I share my files with my colleagues and friends. It is a very secure way of sharing things. I keep my important documents in dropbox so that i can access the files from where ever i want. also it help meprotecting my secret documents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it it is a very good and secure product

Convenient, offers more capabilities than Google Drive

What do you like best about the product?
Convenient, offers more capabilities than Google Drive. Easily accessible to all users, regardless if they have a Google account. Dropbox allows you to bring your files and cloud content together with the tools your team wants to use. It's a modern workspace designed to reduce busywork-so you can focus on the things that matter. Convenient, offers more capabilities than Google Drive. What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to cherry pick content you're looking for. Its preview functions can take a while to load making it less efficient than other file sharing apps. Navigating files can be difficult because the sharing options are not always immediately clear. In some cases, content can get lost and requires the admin of the account to reshare which has been know to slow projects down. It is difficult to cherry pick content you're looking for. We work with video content often and Dropbox makes it easier to share it with our clients because their upload limits are higher. This also makes it easier for others who don't have Google accounts. Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would consider what you need out of a file sharing service. It is better for large file types but is not as efficient as Google drive when it comes to images and documents.
