What do you like best about the product?
It’s been my default load balancer for years, since college, then they added a WAF and I was floored. Now, between, advanced features, amazing logging, and a level of scalability that is ACTUALLY scalable? I’m going to be using it for years to come.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only critique I would have is that it would be nice to be able to drill down from the same pane that I’m looking at tables in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m using it to secure LLM data backends to reduce prompt poisoning.

HAProxy Platform

  • June 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
HAProxy is highly reliable, fast, and efficient, making it a top choice for load balancing and high availability. I like its robustness, flexible configuration, and support for advanced features like SSL termination, health checks, and traffic routing. It's lightweight yet powerful, ideal for both small and large-scale deployments.

The customer support team is pretty good at reposnidng to any issues
What do you dislike about the product?
While HAProxy is powerful and efficient, there are a few areas that could be improved:

Configuration Complexity: The configuration syntax can be unintuitive for beginners. More user-friendly tooling or a modern UI could ease adoption.
Observability: While it provides stats and logging, deeper built-in observability (e.g., native Prometheus support or more detailed metrics) would help with troubleshooting and performance monitoring
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Load Balancing for High Availability
HAProxy distributes traffic across multiple servers, ensuring:

No single server is overwhelmed
Better performance under load
High availability (failover in case a server goes down)

HAProxy for Full Stack Reliability

  • June 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use HAProxy to load balance and stabilize on premise and cloud, environments, windows, and Kubernetes based applications. We’ve enjoyed the future set of the fusion control plane and all that it has to offer, gaining valuable insights into our application requests, front end, and back in statistics, and usage data.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don’t dislike anything, just hungry for education around haproxy and additional feature training so we can funnily use everything offered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HAProxy is our SaaS platforms first load balancer, so the first problem it was solving was a very simple one, load balancing windows web, and application service. However, the longer that we’ve had access to the software, and the more that we’ve learned about it, it has started to become the backbone of our Kubernetes’s infrastructure as well. Service discovery within Kubernetes and HAProxy I’ll still be able to manually interact with the clusters, has been crucial at balancing latency and reliability based connections into our API’s that are contained.
