Intuitive, Comprehensive and Great for the Whole Team t oUse
What do you like best about the product?
Many ways of slicing the data, creating reports, setting alerts. You can quickly see how changes you have implemented are playing out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an option to integrate with Google Ads and Bing. (So that you can create and edit ads within the tool.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are saving money by switching from an SEO agency to this tool. We decided to go for the "quick wins" first. By cleaning up some missing title tags and 301 re-directs, we started to see positive changes on our pages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If possible, have the whole team trained. even if some will not be primary daily users, they can receive notifications and tasks for follow-ups. (There's a great project management aspect to it.)

What do you like best about the product?
They are with you every step of the way. Whether you are new to the SEO world or are just looking for a new way to go about your strategies, Conductor Searchlight is an exceptional option. The platform is intuitive and effective, and the customer service is top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly have no complaints. They are always available for anything you might need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped to organize and steer part of our SEO strategy. There have been a ton of benefits from education about SEO to execution of a strategy.

What do you like best about the product?
Searchlight is easy to use and provides information such as keyword rankings, SEO recommendations and reporting tools that not only make my job easier, it provides great reports that clients can understand. The competitor data is also very helpful. It also provides next steps for finding content ideas, which keywords to target and which pages need to be optimized. These are just some of the tools. There are many other ways to use Searchlight to gain insightful information for clients.
Conductor's support is excellent. You can reach them by email or a chat feature and they're usually very quick to respond with the information required.

What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to see additional SEO tools built into Searchlight such as an SEO audit which could identify issues and tie back to the keyword data for example. We currently have to do audits with other SEO tools. Aside from that, I can't think of anything else I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Searchlight enables me to focus on strategy by providing me support information I need to determine how to improve my client's visibility in the search engines, increase brand awareness and ultimately increase revenue, conversions, leads, etc.
With report features such as the keyword pipeline, I'm able to show positive progress from the start of an SEO campaign to current day.

What do you like best about the product?
Conductor is great at presenting your keyword data as insightful graphs and visuals as well as organizing data into keyword insights or specific page insights. I like that I can see what page is ranking for what keywords so we can optimize that page for what matters most to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The once a week data refresh isn't always often enough. When you open Searchlight Monday morning some of the keywords' ranking has already changed from what it's reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For awhile parts of our website weren't being seen by Google bots and we weren't aware of it, Conductor helped identify the problem so we could find the solution. That's a huge win. Currently, Conductor Searchlight helps us identify opportunities for new content as well as ongoing optimization to current pages.
Great service, great product
What do you like best about the product?
I love how the team at conductor knows our business and works hard to get the best results for us, not just for them. They are on top of things and try hard to help even in ways we don't expect.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a little clunky, but it becomes better with constant use.

We're solving SEO. They help us achieve visibility so that we can achieve proper market share.
The best in the market
What do you like best about the product?
Conductor has the best ranking tracking abilities on the market. Being able to track everything on a local server is crucial to our business. They are also able to pull in data from SEMRush, Adobe DeepCrawl and Webmaster tools in a meaningful way. They also have amazing customer service that always respond quickly to any questions or concerns.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took some time to learn the platform and to get fully integrated with all of the tools and partnerships. However, after being a user for the last 6+ months, this is no longer an issue for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned before, being able to look at our keyword rankings and competition on a local level has changed our perceptive. We recognized new competitors from this and it is helping us push our projects through.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Conductor Searchlight is that they not only provide a large amount of data for you to use, it is set up in a manner that makes it all easy to understand. When issues do arise, the customer service is top-notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because there is so much to see, it is sometimes difficult to find what you are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to identify areas of improvement for our clients regarding search visibility and are able to accurately track our progress throughout the campaign. We are also able to identify markets where we need to focus more of our effort, keeping us from working on areas that aren't as important to the client.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a software that will help you improve your clients' search visibility, Searchlight is the tool. The large amount of data it collects along with the robust reporting system gives you the ability to monitor, adjust, and report your improvements in a way that is very easy to do.
Not worth the investment, tool lacks the ability to provide concise recommendations

Hard to say. This review is to steer users away from Conductor Searchlight based on a poor experience/disappointing outcomes using the tool.
Conductor Searchlight tries to impress the user with an overwhelming amount of data - however, once you look past the fancy dashboards you can see that it's not worthwhile for an overall SEO strategy for small or large organizations (note they struggle to scale to larger companies' needs). This tool is telling you what you already know based on Google Analytics and free SERP tools - your traffic is mainly coming from organic, these specific pages are driving the most traffic due to answer boxes, specific keywords etc. Here's where you rank in Google results, here's how many searches there are per month for specific keywords - again; this is ALL FREE ONLINE. You do not have to pay Conductor for this information. The tool is not telling you where the gaps are - in terms of what content pushed you out of the 1st page of results, what content your competitor developed recently that secured them an answer box etc. They will spend all this time tracking irrelevant keywords and when you ask them for help, they'll send you a bill for $2500. Avoid wasting money on Conductor Searchlight.

Conductor has a TON of turn over, which means you have to repeat yourself ALL.THE.TIME. to someone new. They nickle and dime you for everything. Once your account is set up (which is painfully slow on their end) you continuously hear things like "our pro-services can do that for thousands of dollars" or "you'll need add more keywords for that - which will be thousands of dollars" or "that's an add-on feature not in your current package, you can add it for a few thousand dollars". This makes for a poor relationship between the vendor and the client - because it stems from a lack of communication on their end and poor on boarding for the client to really understand your needs and explain their services clearly.
In terms of the technology itself - the gems of information are in there...somewhere. If you're looking for concise recommendations like what content will garner more organic traffic for your site, this tool is NOT for you - this tool helps track how your existing content on your site is performing (you can do this for free; see above). If you see something drop off of page one - there's no clear path, based on the data in searchlight, on how to get it back up to that 1st page slot. (Again, pro-$ervices can help with this for thousands of dollars). If you need to develop new content and want to determine what to write, what keywords to include etc - this tool does not guide you there. I recommend BrightEdge over Conductor Searchlight. Nicer teams to work with, quick turnarounds, more bang for your buck, less nickle and diming.

Great insights and monitoring when implementation is done
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that you can see your marketshare in terms of SEO compared to other companies in your specific industry. It makes it that I can effectively focus on terms where we are lacking compared to the competition and optimize content to take first place on google. And after I made my changes I can check weekly or monthly if it had any effect compared to the reference date, which is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
One small thing is that i would like to have more access to niche or dialect search terms, especially in the Belgian market where they do not always speak general Dutch it would help a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly SEO and content optimization.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that i get in dept insights about the complete market and what everyone's position is in terms of SEO. That way i can figure out why other companies are scoring better than mine and find a way to improve by optimizing content. Furthermore you can analyze if your changes made any impace by the week on week view in Conductor.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is difficult to find exactly that niche term or dialect you are looking for, i wonder if there is no searches on it, but i believe sometimes there is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly SEO really, it just helped to improve our store alot on that department which resulted in great outcomes.
