Anaplan - Continues to Outperform with Connected Planning
What do you like best about the product?
I believe that Anaplan is an outstanding software that provides its customers the ability to create a completely customized atmosphere for their planning experience. Where that be FP&A, Sales and Operations, or Quota & Territory planning, Anaplan provides a unique solution that makes data management and forecasting easy. Specifically for me, I love the ability of Anaplan to be used as our central FP&A planning model that we are continuing to expand and build on with each day. It is great to see our end-users get into Anaplan and be able to easily use the software without the stress of saving down a bunch of different excel files. Overall Anaplan has been a fantastic software for out team and we can't wait to continue to use and build upon it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall Anaplan has been a great software for my company, providing a unique solution to our business needs and the way we want to plan. While every software has its quirks, Anaplan is great about laying out this eccentricities and making sure that while the software runs a certain way, there are workarounds and that the Anaplan team is working on making it easier to use. These quirks in the model can be sometimes hard to explain to an end-user who is used to Excel or Google Sheets, and does not understand the nature of the hyperblock or the way that Anaplan's software will approach a formula to try to calculate that. While it can be frustrating, Anaplan has great documentation and educational tools that we use with our end users to be able to get them to understand how the system works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to help solve a lot of our problems that we experienced as a team with Anaplan. The first thing is that we can have multiple end-users working in the same module updating information without it crashing or causing any delays for the users. Additionally, we are able to house our entire model in this software, and when we start to create new analytical reports or want to build out a new way to forecast something, we have all the building blocks all ready to go. Anaplan's excellent capability to ingest data has also allowed us to automate so much of the manual labor we spent hours doing. This has improved efficiencies for our team and allowed us to be more agile in making business decisions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think that Anaplan can provide a very unique solution to companies. When evaluating Anaplan, I believe that it is important to make sure that you have the data infrastructure and time to build out the model. That is the heaviest lift, and can come with complications. Once you set up your customized models, Anaplan will provide a great planning solution.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how flexible the system is to make constant improvements to our model and address changing business needs. The Covid crisis is a great example where new urgent requests have arisen, and we have been able to quickly build out new data integrations and business analysis to enable timely decisions for senior leadership.
What do you dislike about the product?
My primary dislike is the way the system temporarily locks for all users of a model when an admin makes a small error, such as a formula set to the wrong format. The length of the lock depends on the size and complexity of the model, but you can easily toast a model for several minutes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have improved our planning and reporting with Anaplan, with both speed and flexibility. We can also easily add new use cases and connect data across models. We have been able to help solve urgent business needs as well by have the ability to build out new analysis without the need to rely on consultants.
The one tool to drive the sales forecast and modelling.
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan have driven a great sales modelling in our business allowing us to achieve more time seizing modelling with effective management. The way it can be customized for a total needs of the customers and fits in accordance to the company requirements is seemingly amazing. We can patch up several tasks and integrates them all together to create a channel of sales in the best possible way. It allows the complete control over your designed protocols and even allows the changes onward. The way we can see through our inventory , sales forecast , reporting and complete control over sales model is seamlessly amazing. We can design custom lists adds different annotations which fits best to our business model. This is a real-time data modelling data designed to adapt to users requirements in efficient way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for this tool is quite steep which made most of the users out there redundant from using this tool. One with deep knowledge and proper analysis can design the modelling and listing far superior than any other tool can. The only limitations apply here is the users knowledge and ability to synchronize things. The technical support also needs a huge shout out because they need to improve their services. Most of the staff and support team lacks advance knowledge and missed the working pattern form users perspective. They need to put in lots of efforts in order to make it practically viable and usable for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan creates a stream velocity for the sales forecast and how one I can innovate the whole procedure based on learning and adapting to this tool. So far we have achieved perfection in our sales compensation , inventory management, and listings modifications and sales planning. All of these simplifies our working procedures and facilitates in our working. We wants to manage the changes in real-time adjusting our sales being adhering to seasonality or specific events. It let us easily manage our budgeting and forecasting with our sales streak which can be managed in a balance way providing us with extra capable working patterns.

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan for Sales has produced an amazing results in the sales forecast because it is used for marketing and all of its tools are perfectly assembled. We can also get the benefit from the marketing communication which builds a reliable relation among team members and clients. It has the great ability to see prospects engaged far past the standard email tracking tool. Anaplan for Sales also easily allow us to open the different pages at in a single platform because it has a great electronic integration capability that all comes together to reduce speed bumps in the sales process. Anaplan for Sales has all packed features with the great integration and it also provides the great customer support for our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawback about this software is that the setup and customization process of Anaplan for Sales is not very simple because of its difficult functions. Anaplan for Sales features are very difficult to share via real-time mobile and email alerts every time proposals are viewed or forwarded. In addition, Anaplan for Sales software cannot create a content repository for swift access to relevant knowledge resources requisite to create sales proposals. The main drawback about this tool is that Anaplan for Sales does not come with any additional instructions on addition of any new features which puts forward a steep learning curve for the new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan for Sales is a cloud-based sales automation solution that enables sales professionals to pitch, propose and close deals. It can help create online presentations, design proposals, manage contracts and analyze contract performance. I am using it daily for marketing automation for different marketing campaigns for different team members and I found this platform very helpful and amazing. Anaplan for Sales is best for team management because I can easily manage my team and business also it has great reporting functionality to customize the deals in a very effective way.
Easy use tools for forecast, but hard to build
What do you like best about the product?
Easy use tools for my monthly forecast purposes and easy to pull out for manual amendment in excel file. I can also see live report as long as the database is up-to-date with some manual pushes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to build as it involves a lot of formulas and perhaps linkage with other dashboard which make it more complicated. The report is also quite hard to change to suit individual needs too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily pull the recurring report and filter based on my preference, that's made my life much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look into your company's requirements and processes first before considering this software, the more complex company nature the harder to build the dashboards and reports.

What do you like best about the product?
Super helpful for tracking sales and churn. Great for forecasting payout.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to customize and track based on date/time vs showing a list, would have updates, sync to email. Wish it would categorize better and have more of a newsfeed.

I am able to better forecast and track sales/compensation.

What do you like best about the product?
Our project was really complex, we decided to integrated 6 models (Sales Budget, RFQ, Investment Budget, P&L and Balance Sheet Budget and PMT, medium long term plan). So the goal was not to realize 6 models, but to create the integration between them. GOAL OBTAINED

The is linked with users and not with performance

What-if analyses ... that used to take a day are
