Statistical Analysis made easy
What do you like best about the product?
The abundance of modules and inbuilt functions to do a multitude of tasks ranging from statistical analysis to differential calculus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface is a little different in RStudio as compared to IDEs for other languages. I don't really dislike it but it was something I had to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Statistical Analysis of datasets for regression and classification.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to use. Good for non CS or Math people while doing analysis.

Pretty good tool for research especially academia
What do you like best about the product?
It looks neat - everything needed in one centralized window. Code editing, code running, dataset viewing and file system viewing all in one place. Very convenient to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too much complaints. The main dislike is on R itself, not too much on Rstudio. R reads everything into memory and thus cannot handle too big datasets. Also, deployment of the work can be tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to do data processing and design predictive models. The benefits include many off of the shelf packages to use.
Very powerful software, steep learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
RStudio makes the R language a little easier to work with, giving the user a little more clarity in terms of working with their statistical analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
While RStudio makes things a little bit clearer, this is still R at its heart, and it still takes a decent amount of time to learn how to achieve your desired goal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Robust statistical analysis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take some time to figure out how to achieve your goal in an elegant way-- it'll pay off big time in the future.
R Studio review by beginner user
What do you like best about the product?
I like the community base around R studio where if you don't know a code, someone will always answer your question.
What do you dislike about the product?
Coding can be tedious and frustrating at times, but with experience it becomes much easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to quickly analyze and organize large datasets. It is easier to manipulate the coding based on the type of data. Once you have a sequence of coding that works, it is extremely easy to use it again on a different dataset.
Rstudio for data analysis and vizualization
What do you like best about the product?
Rstudio is the best tool for any R user. It is straightforward and very easy. Combine with the power of R, this is a must have.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to more advanced functionalities, it can be a little confusing and a learning curve
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analysis and vizualization, as well as package development.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you know R and need to use it, Rstudio is the platform you need.
Fantastic and Powerful Product for Data Processing & Vizualization
What do you like best about the product?
The capabilities with the rStudio packages as well as the Shiny Deployment platform make rStudio a fantastically powerful platform for processing, analyzing and visualizing data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is definitely a learning curve just like with any programming language. The good news, however is that you can easily make sure that you get up to speed with a good deal of online training that is either low cost or free. That plus the learning curve is far less steep than with Python (however, the power from a systematic perspective is limited as well).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nimble, effective data analysis and visualization.
Predictive forecasting and data plotting.
Manipulation and Data Preparation

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend that you take a look at RSTudio as it implements a very easy way for you to ensure you are able to get acquainted with true data analysis; however, it is not without competition. There are many other suites but you should check to see if integrations for R are available for your organization's data sources and if you can easily get data out of those systems to even begin analysis. If you can't get the data out it does you no good to use a system like rStudio. Regardless, the power and flexibility definitely helps here, but you also may want to investigate Python and some of the more robust capabilities available there if you are looking to build a more scalable system that can deal with greater data prep and magnitude/velocity requests across the board.
Average software
What do you like best about the product?
R studio is best when i am performing text analysis, predictive and statistical analysis. I like the caret package and the predictive power and level of details that R Studio provides.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface and the sluggishness. I tool frequently aborts when to try to loads huge files. The ggplot2 is not the best package to visualize. R studio needs more developers to make it user friendly.
The language is not object - oriented which makes the code look dirty.
The language is not object - oriented which makes the code look dirty.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performed predictive analytics on multiple projects at academic level. Only benefit i realized is that anyone can work and start with R as its a easy language with good documentation but not powerful as Python.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Performance needs to be improved.
RStudio Makes Working with R Significantly More Efficient
What do you like best about the product?
Separating the console and clean script allows the user to have a working script with which the problem solve and perfect, as well as a clean, final script. RStudio brings packages to your fingertips and makes installing them a breeze. The ability to also view one's dataset while working is also invaluable to the user. Generally, the RStudio interface is the same, easy to use interface as R so if you're familiar with one, it should be easy to learn the other.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order to save packages to your user library, you must download and save them. It would be nice if the system library included more widely used pre-downloaded packages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in geospatial analysis. R is a great tool because you can use it for geospatial statistics. RStudio simply makes working in R ten times easier by creating a clean script as well as a separate working space. RStudio also allows me to save and install packages with a click instead of having to download them each time I use the program.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
RStudio is a great resource as it is open source software and constantly improving and evolving. As a free software, it can be essential for any business which analyzes data, spatial or not.
An IDE for
What do you like best about the product?
The best IDE to work on R and Data Science. All sections can be seen at once.
Data can also be seen in the same window.
Data can also be seen in the same window.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the windows do not show the plot in new window.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using this tool as we are upskilling. I am learning R and using the RStudio to learn visualizations using R language.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try this for R programming...everyone is using this for a reason.
The best tool to do your data analysis with R
What do you like best about the product?
I love its user interface and how it manages the use of different scripts. For example, one of the features that I use the most is the merge function that allows me to join my databases. Another thing that I like the most is being able to upload my databases using the import-dataset button
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes too long to compute loops.
It does not make it clear if you are performing calculations when the data set is too big.
It does not make it clear if you are performing calculations when the data set is too big.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I usually use this tool to carry out all the descriptive statistics that I have to do for our projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is possibly the best tool for statistical data analysis.
