Great platform to write R code.
What do you like best about the product?
It's integration with shiny to publish web applications. Extremely user friendly.
Installing packages and information about them is easily available.

Most amazing IDE for R
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely user friendly, love the panes. Also R markdown, Rpubs as well as integration with got and svn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike, there is no better option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
I like that R Studio is a bit more of a GUI than base R. It makes the user experience a little better. I also find the help tools to be really useful in learning how to run analyses that I'm unfamiliar with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like other aspects of R, there is a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using RStudio for analysis of ecological datasets. Repeatability is very important for many analyses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would use this over the traditional and clunkier version of R, but you'll still need to know how to code in the R programming language.
RStudio makes coding in R simple, package installation convenient and plotting simple.
What do you like best about the product?
Its great for functional programming, and it data oriented objects make analysis a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't pair well with Java, and it cant handle big data without relying on fake c++, and even then the limits are evident, just try and process text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyzing clinical trial data, and creating figures for publication.
R Studio Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like the R studio due to it is open source so we can use any where and its runs on any platforms like windows, Linux and Mac. i like the plotting feature of R for any statistical data. visualization of the data is so easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes i feel that R is so easy to understand for engineering student who learn C and C++ in starting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
basically i use the R Studio for data visualization and sometimes for analysis the data as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes of course i want to everyone who is using SAS (Statistical Analysis System) or Python must be using R Studio as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Commercial edition price is very high (starts at $ 10,000)
- Support is only available via email and response times can be quite high
- Since the support is so limited, I didn't think that the high cost was justified. The main reason we wanted to use it was so that we can get enterprise support which was almost non-existent. When you have a production issue and need to get something fixed, there is no phone support to help you and you need to wait for someone to respond via email.
- The licensing is not perfect. We had a HPC server and every now and then RStudio would stop working because it detected some change in hardware when nothing had in fact happened. This would cause immense issues as no one would be able to access RStudio until it was fixed. Since the support was via email, it meant that there was no option other than informing the business/statistics groups that we were 'waiting to hear back from RStudio'.
- The account manager was hard to get a hold of when we needed. It seemed like they were content with making the sale and not working on maintaining a customer relationship.
- So, while the product is great and has a lot of nice, well-done features, I think the management of the product in the commercial space is sub-optimal and not worth the cost. The quality of development is very high in contrast.
- Alternatives such as Jupyter Notebook (Jupyter Lab), Open Analytics (EU) may be better options
- Using multicore packages sometimes causes issues

- Open Source Version has been very stable and is a much better interface to demonstrate R functionalities than using the terminal

Recently I have started loving RStudio
What do you like best about the product?
I have used the RStudio on windows machine, before this I have worked on MSVS for couple of years.
In comparison with VS, RStudio comes with loads of features and tools, light weighted and very easy to use.

IDE is little hard to get familiar with for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am learning ML so that I can create POC's in my current organization, RStudio is kind of giving me comfort level day-by-day to learn things at a very good pace and I am sure I will be able to build the POC's before schedules.

Cuts down advanced tasks in just a few lines of code.

That I have to do the install and updates myself. Open source means that there are disparate support sites.
