R-Studio Review

  • January 29, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I liked how accurate the R studio was in its calculations and how precise it was in the formation of graphs. It also is a good program for someone who is not familiar with coding. The program gives you great feedback and hints when you are typing in your code. I also love the variety of data that R-studio can process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not very familiar with this type of coding, so I found R-studio to be complicated and frustrating at times. It was also very sensitive to certain types of data, which was also frustrating. I did not like how much time it can take with certain types of data analyzing. I also found that it is not the simplest type of code that a beginner can start with like java or Pythagoras.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use R studio for data visualization. It is an accurate way for me to enter data and see a line of best fit graph drawn. It is also good for spectrometry data. It was a good program to use with people who are not familiar with coding.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it was to learn from the beginning, but that the advanced features are there when you need them. It's great that rstudio is opensource, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that compiling latex can take so long, but that is to be expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rstudio provides data visualization and has helped develop insights into data. It is also a good IDE to practice and learn R. Having a helpful working environment has made the learning curve easier to deal with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. If you're going to be using R to do predictive analytics or data visualization, using Rstudio will only help you along the way.

MAIN IDE FOR R

  • January 26, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Rstudio is extremely user friendly and has everything you could possibly want from R. It breaks it down into 4 panels. The first panel is simple vanilla R. The other one is a scripting place for you to write and edit R code nicely. The other one is your environment which shows you which variables and functions you have created (trust me your gonna want to know this) and the last one shows your directory, packages, and much more. R is complicated on its own and the IDE here helps break it down and become more user friendly. Trust, your gonna want to use this for R
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, they update R studio every while and the team that does this is remarkable. One thing I disliked was that they did not help show the directory of your files (trust this was a pain trying to figure out and get wording right), but they recently updated it to include an import dataset button which figures out your file and gives you correct directory along with the code. It is really good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What business problems are you solving with R Studio? What benefits have you realized?
The problems that are being solved is a working station for data analysis and a way to utilize a statistical programming language like for proper analysis. This IDE is really friendly and has much better features than other IDE's ive tried. You would not be disappointed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great platform for R

  • January 26, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to manage the workspace, the console, the terminal, the file directory, and the variable environment all in the same window.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, the plots disappear automatically, and the application needs to be restarted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analysis and demand forecasting
Recommendations to others considering the product:
RStudio is the fastest platform to use when it comes to big data. I think it runs directly on RAM, so requires a PC with HIGH RAM (8GB works just fine!), and that is what gives it the speed it offers.
