A great tool for statistical analysis

  • July 26, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is open source and hence, free! Its easy to install. The multiple screen view to see the code, output, logs at the same time enhances user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The plots cannot be seen for multiple commands at the same time. Once you move to the next plot, the previous once vanishes. This ability of multiple plots is present in Jupyter Python notebook but not in RStudio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to analyze manufacturing data set of a semiconductor firm and design a predictive model that indicates fault rates in manufacturing equipment with high accuracy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it if you want to work with regression, classification models. If you are considering a data visualization tool, I would recommend using Tableau or visualization packages in Python!

RStudio - a powerful tool for data wrangling and package creating in R

  • July 26, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Rstudio has a great interface: data browsing is the best I have seen in any IDE, including MATLAB. It has integration with git. As a allows for creating proper packages, ready with documentation and and all whistles and bells. The same time it is sample and intuitive, making it beginner-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's problems is really a continuation of this IDE advantages: e.g. interface is minimal and simple, but it would be nice to create multiple separate windows for browsing data or have R-console detached.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Created and submitted two Bioconductor packages. Explored certain problems in random matrix theory.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is free and frankly the only option for R IDE
