What do you like best about the product?
I like the cloud version which is a good alternative to desktop version. I use it on a daily basis to do all my assignments.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is little unstable at times. I wish it also tells me which function is in what all possible libraries to install.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We exploratory data analysis and lot of visualization.

R Studio

  • October 24, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is nice and the modeling features are nice. I like R, I like Rstudio, better than SAS and better than a lot of other software. I like R. This sort of thing is quite used for research purposes and whatnot but it could be used for other things as well. Like for education, finance, and a lot of other sectors
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface could be more customized and faster. R could be better, could be better documented, could do with more python like features, get more stuff, etc. Could improve on speed and other aspects as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Modeling and statistical analysis, Can't talk about specifics due to NDA, but mostly stats and analysis of data and whatnot. It is quite nice actually. Very revolutionary and will bring lots of benefits to the world. This is what research is really about. Funding is an issue, but it wouldn't be an issue if everyone knew what we were doing. The world will be a better place with our research and it would really be out there. Space, it will be reachable with the amount of work we do with gravity. That's the biggest problem. Gravity. If we solve gravity, we can get to space and we can get to other planets, like what Elon musk wants to do. But the government doesn't like having people out there without their control so they restrict our funding. That is not good.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it

It's a great IDE for R programmers

  • October 24, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool lets you install and use all kinds of libraries at one stop
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the name of the libraries are also available in search (??) on the tool itself. Sometimes the IDE crashes for no reason when running long running and time consuming data sets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I program my statistical data analysis in R. It helps me do exploratory data analysis easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Also look for the cloud version of the IDE at rstudio.cloud

Great way to start learning data visualization and exploration

  • October 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use R studio as my go to way for basic data visualization and exploration. For more advanced data analysis I generally use python, but can see the same things being done with R if you had the time to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
R studio is great, but does come with a little bit of a learning curve
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basic data exploration for new datasets. We've used this a few times and be happy with it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared for some training overhead but otherwise it's a great product

Makes large data sets simple to interpret!

  • October 10, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The software is simple to learn, and there are many guides available as needed. I also like how simple it is to get help with using different packages within the program. I also like the availability of RMarkdown that can be used to turn codes into html.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I struggle with adding commas and keeping my symbols/punctuation straight. With Stata, punctuation and symbols aren't as necessary when inputting the commands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to quickly and easily find the data results and answers that I am looking for when my data sets have upwards of 200,000 observations. This is very useful and saves time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely make sure to use the resources that are all over the internet for help with RStudio. Almost anything you could possibly need help on is out there, and will make your life a lot easier! I also think it's good to have a good background in another stats program first because then the manipulations that you will need to do will make a lot more sense.

RStudio - Ease in Data Visualization

  • October 09, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Efficient system for loading and visualizing very large data packages. Allows for packages to be loaded straight into the client through the internet, allowing users to select which specific data sets to analyze and visualize.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cumbersome coding language that can be counterintuitive at time. Has a pretty steep learning curve due to syntax used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to create visual representations of extremely large (tens of thousands) sets of data in a quick, efficient ecosystem \

Optimal Workflow for Data Analysis in R

  • October 08, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This is by far the best IDE/platform for working with R code. Provides a easy-to-use and customizable GUI that is ideal for data analytic tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints; as R is open source and the RStudio platform can be modded in a multitude of ways, this is basically as good as it can get.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RStudio serves as the backbone for much of the analyses that we do. It provides an easy-to-use and incredibly power interface for writing and running R code, creating reports, web applications, and more. Useful for internal and external projects (internal analytics, analyses for external partners).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it! The development team is wonderful and very responsive, and there is a robust independent developer's community.
