The R notebook function is very handy and helps convey ideas in a clear and concise fashion.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with healthcare data. RStudio makes it easy to handle genetic data with a lot of community support in the forms of packages and tutorials all integrated in one environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Rstudio is a great IDE if you're working with the R language or if you want to work with genetic data in general.

An amazing companion for every Data Analyst!
What do you like best about the product?
Clean, Modern UI, command assist functionality, able to deploy any R package. The interface is welcoming. You can view the data and the graphs, the charts in multiple configurable windows. For standalone users, there is a Free version, for bigger enterprises, they have paid model as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about RStudio. It is a complete package for R lovers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am working on various Data Analysis and Forecasting projects. So far, I have been able to utilize some of the R packages to analyze the loaded datasets and draw inferences regarding some of the hypothesis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are in R programming or planning to dip your feet, RStudio is for you. Give it a shot and you will fall in love with R.
Pros & Cons of RStudio
What do you like best about the product?
RStudio is one of the best tools for coding and debugging in R. The GUI is user friendly. It allows the user to view multiple windows together like editor, console, plots and environment variables. This helps to get work done faster. It also has many visualization packages, making it a good visualization tool as well. Box plots, scatter plots, heatmaps, scatter plot matrix, histogram, bar plot etc are all available for visualization of data. It is a great platform for statistical and data analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the visualizations do not show the complete data. For example if you run neural networks with large number of hidden nodes, RStudio fails to display half the nodes and their bias values. Also, heatmaps of variable with a large name; do not display the entire variable name in the plot.
There are few packages that take too long to load and do not allow other packages to be downloaded simultaneously. This also affects execution of code at times

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used RStudio for analyzing data sets with statistics and visualization. Then, for modelling my data with various classification and predictive methods and selecting the best based on performance. It helps develop business solutions for the data set being examined.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
RStudio is an easy to use application for statistical analysis and data visualization using R programming. A lot of analysis can be done using this tool: from cleaning you data set, data reduction, sampling and oversampling, to training different models and testing the results, so definitely try it.

College projects involving data analysis and the place I work where I use this tool for analyzing big data sets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is an exclusive tool if you are looking to get some data science experience. There are researchers who prefer using this tool over python as they feel it helps them get involved with data science more. I personally would recommend this tool to all beginners as this is something that is still used in industries like Mu Sigma and it comes in handy if you are proficient in one skill that is very exclusive and demanding.

What do you like best about the product?
It is great data manipulation and data analysis tool. Open source so cost-effective and you can work with large datasets. There are quite a few communities and open forums where you can ask questions related to any project you are working in R or never troubles you come across. It has pretty intuitive visualizations. Compatible with most data sources. Great for statistical analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is character sensitive which can sometime make the coding difficult. The packages are constantly updated and sometimes when you install a new package it may mask the functionalities of old packages. Can definitely improve on data visualization aspect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my organization, we mainly use it for data manipulation, formatting, statistical analysis.

Indexing starts from 1! Parsing of words is more difficult compared to Python.

I like how compact it is and easy to get a hang of once you've spent some time with it.

It can be a little complicated for beginners as it tries to fit in too many functionalities on a single screen.

Don't really know of any other better place to start if you want to use R. Rstudio is a great product, go for it.
