Ease of use, powerful compute, great security and data integration.

Tricky to do code change management. Notebooks first is a messy software engineering paradigm.

Speed and performance, our daily sync jobs are running much faster compared to previous systems

Support for legacy apps on on prem, needs more work to bring it to Databricks

Using Unity Catalog it allows us to maintain security across all applications within the Databricks ecosystem.

The only shortcoming we see at the moment is all features being released in the gov cloud environment.

Ability to bring multiple data sources into 1 workspace and provide secure access to our end users.
