What do you like best about the product?
The interface is really clean, to find what you need is really easy and simple. Synchronized with Segment, I use the Amplitude. Being able to see the track events in real-time with all the properties is really good!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sincerely, there's nothing on Segment right now that I dislike, I think this web app is really good for the purpose of event tracking. As I said, it's a really clean interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm dealing with event tracking. In Segment, the events come and we can see its properties. Also, from Segment, the event, and its properties, are sent to Amplitude.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a wonderful web app, no doubt.

I wish I knew about Segment when I founded my previous company.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of integration with analytics platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Debugging events can be a little tricky sometimes, especially when you have a high-traffic app or website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We dispatch data from multiple sources to multiple targets with minimal API integration.
Segment does exactly what it says and does it well.
What do you like best about the product?
I greatly appreciate that Segment offers multiple ways to add tracking, from programmatic methods to click user interfaces. This has worked well and has been deployed across multiple web platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Segment can be a little bit confusing to set up for the regular user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved analytics. We can also follow specific user behaviors.

The reactivity of the system is incredible, I can see how the events are processed in real-time with great reactivity.

Sometimes I find difficult to navigate between sections of the platform.

Tracking using a unique source of truth when an app requires to connect to more devices
Segment has been critical for us in terms of marketing attribution, and they have a helpful team!
What do you like best about the product?
The "identify" table is pretty great/magical, I like how easy it is to set up (most) sources, and it's been a great experience every time I've reached out for help
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally, I don't love how requisite it is to have Eng folks involved to get a source properly running, but kind of hard to complain about that. My biggest bummer is just when there's no pre-built integration for a Source we'd like to add.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary use case is to track the activity on our company website(s) and particularly, user activity. This has given us far more trustworthy attribution options and has made it easier to understand how users engage with our site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Know your use case as well as what partners you'll need to work with. I'd also encourage you to ensure your Eng team will have the bandwidth to offer support because they WILL be needed at some point(s). But overall, if you're looking to gain insight to marketing attribution/user activity on your site, Segment is an excellent tool to go with.
Excellent for the whole company (from marketing to engineers)
What do you like best about the product?
Segment is pretty easy to set up, and from day 0 it provides a lot of ease on the data-driven culture of a company focusing on understanding its customer base. Also, the numerous integrations made us run instead of walk towards our goal, making good data available for the whole company. We are yet a small team, but with Segment's robust data warehouse, we can scale the operations without struggling with that, which is a huge pain point for many companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some integrations of popular products that don't have native integrations yet, like Pipedrive. However, those can be built with Zapier or Segment's API calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are gathering data for our product-led growth initiatives. The main benefits that we see are the ease of use, the speed of the setup, the robustness of the warehouse, the integrations, and the process of managing everything from a single place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to qualify for the startup program, if that is your reality. The program's really helpful.

ease of use and setup in the code and takes care of alot of things developers don't have to worry about with ad platforms

It's getting better, but not as robust for custom engineering needs. Performance needs work, use web workers or something to get scripting off the main thread!

marketing and data needs, so engineering doesn't have to have a ton of maintnenance to do for ad platforms is nice. takes care of all the tools and data deduping.
