Life changing
What do you like best about the product?
The accessibility not only amongst developers but also to other roles within the team. We can show parts of the code and objects to our Product Owner and he can understand what is going on in the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
You start your indexing with 1 instead of 0. With my programming background, this makes no sense to me. The variable actually contains the address of where the data is stored in memory. So index 1 is nothing more than the start address + 1.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In an ever changing world, it's helping business to quickly implement solutions to big problems they are having in this ever changing landscape. It would be even more perfect if smaller businesses could start using it too.

Opportunities for new business services, extending the offer for a software house
Easy to integrate with surroundings IT system, speed up whole SDLC, easy to train own developers
What do you like best about the product?
Integration is very easy and intuitive, it is very fast to create PoC and function demos. It is very easy to create nice UI and and integrate it with process models. Process modelling is great and each new release is improved. That is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Significantly impact of application to performance. If the developers will use not optimized code -> it is very easy to blocked whole platform for all other users.
Documentation -> in the official documentation are mentioned only really basic things -> the real usefull information you need to find in the Appian community or in the code of the more experienced developers.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation manuall process regarding approving or rejecting different business processes. We have used Appian to solve "platform" users problem with users which remains active on the Appian platform. It is always faster solved Appian platform user problems direct on the Appian platform instead to use 3rd party services or another application/platform.

The pace of change. We love new features but keeping up with them takes effort

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use (coding), integrations with other systems/platforms made vary easily.Broad list of partners that are fully engaged and ready to help on sou challenges.

Available information regarding real-time execution are very low, when there's a production problem identifying the real issue is hard and some times it is not possible to identify.

Connecting diferent systems maintaining information integrity, creating user interfaces and using them to allow diferent applications to qwork together as if there is only one app
Appian in Enterprise Architecture
What do you like best about the product?
The way that Appian can support an enterprise view of a customer business problem rather than a single technology solution to one customer issue. In other words Appian can supply a framework to build a complete company wide enterprise answer
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not Appian as a platform but more new customer expectation of Appian as a business answer. Our customer assumed and expected a case management solution rather than a canvas in which you could build a case management solution. It is early understanding and expectation that confused my senior managment

Appian is helping us develop our portfolio of products to give our end customers a flexible and configurable solution to solve there business issues

It's very easy to learn and quick to implement. Fast delivery of automated business processes along with robust security makes it very powerful tool

I think it should work more on enhancing the integration capabilities of the product as whole
