DOMO as enterprise analytics and reporting tool
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the multitude of easy ways to get data into the platform with little to no SQL skill. This makes it possible for people on the business side that have a lot of operational savvy but limited tech skills to create visualizations and analyze data without needing to include an DBM from IT. It is easy to share reports and visualiztions and works well for smaller ad hoc projects where you want to blend data from sources not connected within a single data warehouse. I often run and extract ad hoc quereies from our host systems and load them from CSV files into DOMO to join them with Magic ETL or Redshift Dataflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have used DOMO for about 5 years and we were one of the early adopters and a consistent feeling in our organization is that although DOMO is constantly adding additional features it always feels like the product is somewhat in a Beta mode. DOMO can do many things fairly well, but it would benefit from choosing its identity in the BI space and refining and polishing it to fit that niche.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We priamrily use it as an enterprise reporting solution at this large retailer. We have a team that is dedicated to maintaing data integrity and building, sharing, and updating reporting for our core KPIs. They also manage data permission levels and control who see sensitive data. DOMO is a solid solution for scheduled report distribution to anyone that has a DOMO license in the organization though emailed reports and personalized dashboards. Individual departments also have analysts that build cards and anaylze data to inform business decsions.

What do you like best about the product?
Straight forward user interface. Easy to pull data
What do you dislike about the product?
No real downsides. Jsut need to rememeber "garbage in, garbage out."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Inventory management and purchasing
Great product but better for a large company

I like that you can plug in your data from one source and combine it with another.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like we were sold something that wasn't made for us and that the people selling it to us had to have known that. If you run a small shop where 2 people run the entire marketing department, DOMO is not for you. We need another person to do nothing but work on domo to make this work
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's not benefiting us. We've got some cool nuggets of info but nothing that has brought us a return on our 30k investment so far...not even close. I'm kind of irritated by it all
Good Platform Overall
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is pretty intuitive and there are a lot of applications and feature to utilize.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be challenging to transition from other BI platforms like Tableau to Domo. Since users are more familiar with other platforms, we have trouble with adoption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Domo to display sales dashboards.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the wide range of visualizations I can create using data pulled from Snowflake. It becomes a very easy process once I have a SQL query written that summarizes my data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how much Domo "pre-analyzes" a dataset for me when I'm trying to create a visualization. For example, I would create a visualization using a dataset, and Domo will automatically summarize a field that doesn't make sense to summarize (like count of a data variable)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Domo gives me the ability to create reports that are run and sent to email distros at set intervals. Seeing that many of my tasks are repeated monthly, this is very useful.
Great tool for Quick adhoc analysis
What do you like best about the product?
The canned visualizations allow you to quickly and efficiently develop insightful and engaging dahsboards. The ability to drill down easily into any viz is second to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
When comparing to some other tools like Tableau, or POwer BI, Domo's simplicity is the main thing i dislike about Domo. You're able to do much more with other tools and they are more flexible in developing more complicated dashboards and visualizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
creating insightful and best in class dashboards that can run our business. Its easy to get up and running, and build dashboards off one, single source of truth.
Great Integrations and Visualizations, Data flows can be a challenge to manage
What do you like best about the product?
The visualizations are gerat, and the fact that it integrates easily with 100s of different platforms is incredibly valuable. It is easiy to use if you have little coding experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dataflows can be a challenge to manage and the UI is occasionally buggy which has caused some issues. Both of these issue can be worked with but they require extra attention

DOMO has made it easy to democratize data throughout our organization and provides a platform to easily integrate data and convert it into useful insights for stakeholders throughout the organization.

What do you like best about the product?
Many Connectors to bring data in. Powerful and easy to use ETL. Great selection of visualizations. Custom capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some reliability issues. Loss of data and functions at times. Slow support. Very high price
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Embedded dashboards into our customer hosted sites.
Domo is okay
What do you like best about the product?
Domo provides the ability to generate lots of different reports and provides a lot of customization options. Provides the ability to increase visibility into performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've found Domo to be very scattered and hard to interpret. The layout and visuals are not clear and don't provide the ease or accessibility that we would hope for. Difficult to find what I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to follow up on some reporting that I would not have had access to otherwise. The access to visualizations of data increases my accuracy and helps me see what I need.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would review all options for reporting. Domo provides a lot of functions for reporting and is a powerhouse in the data analytics world.

it runs slow and is a little difficult to drill down into the filters needed

It's good to be able to see trends and outliers
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give plenty of time to implement and have trainings for new users
showing 41 - 50
