What do you like best about the product?
Customer service, up to date with tax legislation, easy to configure
What do you dislike about the product?
Reliance on consultants to provide some of the support for services. Possibly Vertex has more in-house services but seems like in 2019 when implemented we had to use a lot of consulting services to get set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently use classic Cloud and it helps a lot with our Workday integration to discover new suppliers that are potentially taxable. We have set up rules to streamline process and not pull new suppliers that are known not to be taxable.

Vertex Simplifies Tax Compliance, But Learning Curve Exists

What do you like best about the product?
The upside to Vertex is they really take on the constant tax research and changing of rates and laws for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Trying to learn the software myself and customer support not being able to answer some of my questions sometimes. But that happens and I'm aware that sometimes it's lack of knowledge on my part.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vertex solves the calculating of tax rates in our system. Self explanatory

integration between O series and VITR are seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are implementing Edge and would like for single sign on between Edge and O-Series

Transaction tester can be confusing to fill out

Having consistent jurisdiction names available in a dropdown selection helps reduce typos and misspellings, which can otherwise impact the accuracy of reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
How user-friendly the O-Series system is. With Vertex, we are able to stay in compliance with much greater ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't really had issues with Vertex. I find that Vertex frequently puts out MDUs to keep up with jurisdiction changes each month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying in compliance with jurisdictional changes.

What do you like best about the product?
The Vertex O on demand has been the best decision we have made as a company. It has ensured our compliance going forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have so much data that the audit reports are huge and we sometimes struggle with that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are implementing Vertex O for another one of our companies which uses a different ERP so that is very challenging to build out the tool to implement in house.
