Complete and Outstanding Sales Tax Software Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Sales tax software selection shouldn’t be taken lightly because of the impact on the business from a financial perspective. Going through that process with Vertex was eye opening. They were able to guide us down all the necessary paths to ensure that the system was set up correctly. So, getting them involved at the start prepared us for a successful integration.
The steps to the integration were clear and precise. Our UAT didn’t see any hiccups which made the go live date happen sooner than expected.
After going live is when some of the struggles a company could run into with software vendors. That isn’t the case with Vertex. We had questions and their responses were immediate and accurate. This brought comfort to management because nothing seems to be lingering.
The ease of use makes help administration get answers quickly.
We have converted all our marketplaces along with our ERP to have one source of truth and we couldn’t be happier with that decision to go with Vertex.

What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, it there isn’t anything to dislike because they take on every challenge with a team of well knowledgeable staff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being sales tax compliant is a major concern for every business. So, getting sales tax right on the transaction is the first step which Vertex made easy and accurate. Then at the end of every month the reporting to each state couldn’t be easier with Vertex. Just a few clicks of a button and every state has the necessary reports which are compliances with their rules.

Vertex solved the tax calculation and computation and make the life easy

What do you like best about the product?
Vertex has been so helpful and easy to implement for our business. We previously used Avalara and the functionality within Vertex is much more user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly we have not had any complaints about Vertex yet - our implementation and go-live phases have gone really well.

Tracking state by state nexus and sales tax compliance, as well as international VAT compliance

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using vertex on demand cloud for more than 5 years for North America and our business stakeholders are very happy about it. Last year, we were expanding our business to EU and we instantly went with Vertex with second thoughts.
What do you dislike about the product?
We some times see performance issues when the order lines exceed 500 and also some critical reports like total time taken to complete for a transaction

We are using vertex to calculate the sales tax in NA and sales tax + vat for EU.

Vertex is currently solving our sales tax transaction calculation in O Series, as well as exemption certificate management in the Certificate Center.
A premium, fun experience with relevant content and great networking opportunities.

I like the robustness and customization abilities of the various Vertex products to suit different businesses and sales needs.

It is sometimes difficult to find information about how to execute specific operations or find help online for self-service management.

Vertex allows my clients to calculate and file sales taxes on their national US business operations in various industries

What do you like best about the product?
The functionality as a whole. It's easy to navigate and has many features. The system does an awesome job keeping up with changes. Vertex is constantly improving; finding ways to meet the needs of their customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
While any customer would love the lastest and the greatest of what technology has to offer. The upgrades can be inconvenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vertex was already implemented upon arrival with the company therefore I am not sure what caused us to choose Vertex in regards to any issues. But, we heavily depend on Vertex to select the correct tax rate based full addresses inputted. We also depend on Vertex to correctly and timely file our returns.

What do you like best about the product?
I loved the hands in sessions. I was able to learn a lot about Vertex and best practices. I have learned a lot that I will apply to my work life.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of vertex is the inability to do thing in bulk. For example, I can create user defined rules in bulk. But I cannot edit or delete them in bulk.
