Seamless Integration, But VITR Needs an Update

Excellent Taxability Insights, But Reporting Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The taxability information available in the tool. I am able to look up a specific taxability category and see what states a product is taxable in as well as the specific state rules related to that product.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to reporting, I find that some of the reports in Vertex are confusing and feel more like a data dump than a truly usable report. While using Vertex's reporting features, I often had to manually manipulate the data quite a bit just to extract the information I needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't believe Vertex is actually solving any major problems for us, but it does offer significant benefits through its available tools, which assist with the audit process and support my daily sales tax tasks. While Vertex provides what I need, I feel that we are not utilizing its full potential.

Vertex Support Phone line quality fell a couple of years ago, but is improving.

Flexible Platform, But Needs More Content and Streamlined Login

Easy setup and usage, options for USA and Canada

Missing contents, Exemption Certificate center, and multiple logins

The sales tax calculation feature works as expected. It accurately computes the required tax amounts, making the process straightforward and reliable.

What do you like best about the product?
It covers functionality of so many areas that it is a comprehensive a solution as one can find and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure it's a Vertex issue so much as an SAP one, but some data fields tend to drop off during batch processing of vendor invoices, losing our data point that our taxability is mapped to, causing incorrect "default" taxation on all transactions in that batch.

solving the issue of having too many user defined rules in place for no good (documented reason).
