The perfect method to enable and disable features
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use. It is a super cool way to ensure customers are not having issues by quickly turning off a feature if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
In staging, we have seen some occasional discrepancies in the value of the feature flag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to do a slow rollout of features, and it mainly helps us monitor smaller sets of staging and production customers before we release the feature to all.

Very useful
What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can tweak configuration parameters on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything not to like as of now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Configuration parameters that can be reflected live, and almost instantly.
Intuitive Feature Flagging Software
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to add complex configurations that allow for very granular feature flagging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes feature flag changes are slow and take several minutes or more to be committed. Additionally, a LaunchDarkly outage took several hours to resolve with no backup or workaround for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly allows engineers and customer service representatives on our team to enable/disable features for specific customers with characteristics that match our criteria.
Very good tool for feature flags! highly recommended!
What do you like best about the product?
The complex conditions you can target in order to turn on/off feature flags in your system
What do you dislike about the product?
if you target a lot of specific users manually, it's hard to track on who you is targeted and who not, and it's hard to make an operation on multiple users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can deploy critical changes in my system to production and still to be on the safe side that if something goes wrong I can revert quickly to the previous code logic
Getting features out of the dark
What do you like best about the product?
Fast setup, easy to learn interface, fast toggle of features
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited seats for developers/PMs/designers. Cost of each addition tool/addon, forces us into the enterprise tier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deploying code to test in production while not giving it to all. Turn it off if it works well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the seat limitation before purchasing. Be prepared to teach your company new practices about the best way to set up feature flags.
Looking forward to the future
What do you like best about the product?
The possibility of continuous deployment
What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure right now, I'm new to the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speeding up deployments into production
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a lot to like about using feature flags through LaunchDarkly. The interface appears very simple and the
LaunchDarkly will change your product / development cycle for the better....it's a game changer.
What do you like best about the product?
Feature flagging is such a game-changer, and LaunchDarkly makes it so easy. The UI and logic is straightforward to navigate and follow. Giving us the ability to test in production is huge and made such a difference to our production development.
What do you dislike about the product?
The APIs are a little cumbersome to get our head around, with the response properties not as straightforward as they could be. However, once you have got your head around the terminology, it is all good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Test in production, continuous delivery, kill switches.
LaunchDarkly makes releasing functionality a breeze using flags.
What do you like best about the product?
We use LaunchDarkly to separate the Deploy and Release aspects of changes. The R&D team implements LaunchDarkly flags in code, and then by using the user targeting functionality the QA team can validate the changes with flag on and off. The main point is testing with flag off, as this means that master can be deployed to production at any point with the flag remaining off, so we don't have to worry about breaking existing functionality by using these flags. We can simultatneously test with flag on and when the team is happy with it we can release the flags as and when we and the business is ready.
What do you dislike about the product?
The highly useful 'segments' functionality is only available with the enterprise license.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have implemented continuous deployment by deploying with flags off. We have also massively reduced the stress associated with deployments and functionality releases. We know no new functionality is available after deployment, so we can solely test the existing functionality. We can use user targeting to test the functionality in production before we release it to all users.
Great for launching beta features
What do you like best about the product?
Great for rolling out features slowly for beta testing in production. I would say it is less well suited for toggling features permanently for users as this requires more integration with our backend and billing systems that would be a lot of work to set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model means that to get adequate users to enable sensible auditing is very expensive. We have ended up sharing users between engineers just to make the solution cost-effective. This is OK while we are developing, but once we fully roll out to production and want non-engineers to take control of the feature flags, it will be difficult to get the cost approved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are building a new customer-facing platform that spans all products in the company and has multiple teams working on features. LaunchDarkly allows us to manage our rollout of new features by different teams so they can be deployed independently and slowly released to the interested beta users.
Having features wrapped in flags has allowed us to test in production before anyone sees it. This has allowed us to find issues that we could not have seen with QA data.

Awesome customer service, awesome tool
What do you like best about the product?
Very user-friendly! Customer support team is great, very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike - any feedback given to the team is taken and acted upon!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling - being able to schedule features to enable off hours.
Opting out specific customers - we deliver a lot of features and sometimes customers don't want them.
