Gets the job done
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's fairly easy to use. My team uses LD flags for a few use cases and we've managed to use it as our flag system of choice for the past while. It's also nice that it has numerous integrations as we use the slack app + webhooks for notifications. Easy to use in code too but I wasn't involved in the setup within my team, just reading flags directly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan of the whole UI redesign earlier this year because I had to relearn the workflows I was used to and haven't gained anything subsequently. Also, the flag history feature should be improved for JSON flags because it's difficult to see exactly what changed without looking at details / pressing more buttons. This makes bisecting an impactful change more difficult. I was implemented a webhook integration with LD and the API docs for what you send can be improved. I learned more getting a response back from our real LD implementation than reading through the API example responses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used launch darkly as a control system as well as a tool for feature rollouts. It works for all use cases as I'd expect and have no complaints on the technical side of things. It took me a little while to ramp onto this system but now I can understand the typical workflows pretty easily.

It is pretty easy to understand how the software product works with little-to-no-experience.
What do you like best about the product?
It's really simple to target specific platforms and/or rollout to a specific percentage of users. I really like how simple the configuration is to change.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI changes as of late are way too intense. I don't like how much white space there is and the distinction between dev and prod is not clear enough in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly allows us to ship features more quickly on mobile. We can ship our app and then when we are fully ready flip the feature flag on to enable the feature.
Experience with LaunchDarkly
What do you like best about the product?
Its to collate all the feature flags at a single place & then control them in a single go. Also, easy to add custom checks & balances.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing which I dislike about the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me in defining & keeping all my features at a single place.
LauchDarkly works well as a feature flag system !
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to setup feature flags and compare them across instances / environments. It makes it easy as a developer to quickly replicate settings for testing. Moreover, the libraries / SDK for loading them into a tech stack, whether it's customer facing or internal testing is pretty straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Toggling a flag on/off isn't as easy as it should be as LD allows for complex rules for what a feature flag will be computed as based on various parameters. That was a little bit of a learning curve but it's a small nitpick.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing our business to develop features and roll them out as needed. This provides the ability to slowly test the rollout and rollback with a simple disabling of a the feature flag.
Easy and quick
What do you like best about the product?
UI is clean and easy to understand. Very searchable and adaptable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no negative feedback on the tool itself but it is important to be mindful in the designs used to prevent confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid deployment on new features or feature modifications without heavy code rebuild in our configuration UI.
Launchdarkly has helped our team launch and scale new features to millions of users worldwide
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. How well it integrates with both our front end and backend systems to help us control feature rollouts. The rules and variations are also a granular controls, which is a must for our use case
What do you dislike about the product?
The recent UI refresh feels less user friendly, has hidden away easily accessed controls. I really miss the easy switch between the rules, variations, experiments and insights tab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a platform that caters to millions of users across continens. Launching a new feature is a big task especially considering our scale, sometimes we need to do it for only a particular country or app versions due to backword compatibility issues. LD helps us immensely with granular controls of our feature rollouts with easy fallbacks and peace of mind with deployments.
Great tool for feature flagging - both on frontend and backend
What do you like best about the product?
We can create as many environments as we want, and can see live when flag evaluations are happening.
What do you dislike about the product?
Switching between projects is problematic and the website does not remember which project I was last on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Feature flagging, exposing functionalities selectively to customers and emergency rollback of features.
Product Manager Perspective
What do you like best about the product?
As a PM, I LOVE that our team can release new work behind feature flags. It is helpful for targeted releases and for rolling things back (when needed). We have also LaunchDarkly to offer customizations for strategic accounts with little/no code, confirming the value before building out full-featured preference settings. We also use A/B testing to see which icons/messages resonate most with our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about LaunchDarkly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use LaunchDarkly to manage features - I love that we can release something in a production environment but only to QA/Demo accounts before turning it on for our customers.
LaunchDarkly has a great looking UI and is convenient to quickly create flags and roll out
What do you like best about the product?
I like the change history available to debug who changed flags recently. I feel the Segments and percentage roll out making creating and ramping up flags super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe a bit more opinionated way of keeping names/keys would make everyones flags automatically more standardized
I don't know if I need all the different types of flags and rules so maybe that part can be simplified
I don't know if I need all the different types of flags and rules so maybe that part can be simplified
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of features I need to test in production and slowly roll out to avoid breaking everything
perfect to launch feature at a scale

The ease of use and adding new config is very swift.
The new UI just got lauched which increases the asthetic and functionaly very much. You can also schedule your config change.
The SDK is also readily available for many languages for implementing your config. It's also very easy to intergrate, via SDK key to get started.
We this LD daily for managing features at scale. The customer technical support is available to help you intergrate SDK if required.
