Misleading website for small business users.
What do you like best about the product?
Great tool and functionality. The interface is clean and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
$1500 / year minimum
Frustrating and condescending support team
Frustrating and condescending support team
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboard with SSO into the 10+ tools our team uses on a daily basis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you just need a dashboard and password management go to someone else.
Great for SSO
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of adding applications for single sign on, implementing MFA, and connecting with Active Directory
What do you dislike about the product?
The system log can be more robust, and the list of apps that support provisioning is a bit small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Putting MFA in front of all the most commonly used applications and self service password resets have been solving problems with security and saving helpdesk time.
Okta is fine
What do you like best about the product?
simple to use and keeps things organized
What do you dislike about the product?
signs out sometimes randomly which is frustrating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
keeping organized
Easy to use, easy to administer
What do you like best about the product?
Tons of features and functionality, but great flexibility in how to use the platform. Policies for authentication, MFA and password management have a lot of variables and it's easy to set one policy for a specific app or group of users. Integrates well with AD, pushes group membership changes instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Okta Mobile app does not yet allow for login options other than user/pass.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SSO to majority of our business applications, strong MFA for sensitive applications, ability to layer on additional products and features to formulate a passwordless authentication strategy.
Everything is one place
What do you like best about the product?
It syncs up with my Microsoft account so I only have to remember one password.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is still a separate site that I wish could get integrated with my other existing accounts for work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we were acquired, we had to set up so many new accounts for our benefits, retirement accounts, etc. So Okta was at least one where all our benefits would be in one place with the same password we use to connect to the network.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think if you have a lot of separate accounts that your employees long into regularly and see if they would work with Okta. That has been the main benefit for us.
No More Hidden Sticky Notes
What do you like best about the product?
Okta Adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication has been a life-saver here at work. Our entire company uses this in order to keep all the accounts on our all different services secure. It's incredibly easy to use and works smoothly, which is imperative when trying to access accounts and programs quickly and efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of my only issues with this product is that it will alert users to new services/accounts that have been added to a user's Okta page, and will help users go through the entire sign up process, when a user hasn't even been officially approved or added to that particular service. Very frustrating, especially for new hires who don't really understand what's happening.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta Adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication ensures that no one in the company needs to keep a stash of sticky notes with passwords anymore! And we no longer have to worry so much about security, stolen passwords, etc. Okta has really streamlined our onboarding process, which has been incredibly valuable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I can't recommend this product enough! It makes the onboarding process for new hires so smooth and efficient, and it honestly just makes everyday life at work easier since there is no need to remember the millions of passwords everyone has for all the services we use.
Need more implementation support, pre-implementation training and oktane passes
What do you like best about the product?
So far my experience with Okta has been good. I wasn't part of the decision to go to OKTA but as an IAM professional I like the way their products work.
What do you dislike about the product?
We didn't get very good implementation support matter of fact they tried to cut us off from the support before we had started rolling it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are converting over to Okta for SSO so that we can line that up with our provisioning implementation.
The best SSO
What do you like best about the product?
Reasonably easy to set up. Relative to the other SSO providers I'd consider this the gold standard.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of reports that we want require custom requests, for a mature company I'd expect more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized authentication
Helpful but frustrating if locked out
What do you like best about the product?
Having one consolidated place to log into different services and tools with the ease of a click rather than entering several different passwords.
What do you dislike about the product?
Okta certainly solves a problem for password protection and security but it is also a frustrating added layer that at times can be temperamental enough to lock you out of any access to intranet tools.
It also isn't very intuitive when adding tools that require SSO too.
It also isn't very intuitive when adding tools that require SSO too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving valuable time from consolidation of web apps and reduction in time of logging in.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Unsure of what competition Okta have out there but it certainly helps for lazy people like me. However i do have to say without the mobile app for verification Okta can be a real pain.
