Snowflake simplified our complex workflows with unmatched performance
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Snowflake is its scalability and performance. It handles large datasets effortlessly, while offering near-instant querying and seamless integration with various data tools. Plus, the pay-as-you-go model is cost-effective for any size of operation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few limitations when migrating the etls from other database but snowflake have a workaround for those too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake tremendously improved our ETLs execution time from our source objects to target systems.

What do you like best about the product?
Since snowflake is a cloud platform for data warehousing, data lake etc, it helped me a lot when working on my project named election prediction system. So here I stored all my data in snowflake which is a good source and convenient to use with all the features, which helped me in alayzing my dataset according to the requirememt.
What do you dislike about the product?
Main disadvantage of snowflake which I felt is it did not support much for my unstructured data. Handling unstructured data with constraints if bit difficult is what I felt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is mainly used for datawarehousing, data lakes etc which is directly helping me in my studies. I am able to do more projects related to big data.

What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake's Streamlit tool was incredibly helpful in making a one stop shop project for my internship.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only negative experience I've had with snowflake is during the time they had problems with hackers and the service kept going down throughout the week.

It's allowing me to create tools to present as proof of concepts to the organization in a timely manner

What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake’s architecture allows for seamless scaling. We can easily scale compute and storage resources independently based on our needs. Its offers good performance with its multi cluster architecure. Its so user friendly with a straightforward SQL based interface that makes it accessible for users familiar with traditional database, it offers robust security features and its very easy to implement. Overall its a powerful data warehouse platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing module can be complex, with separte charges for computer, storage and data transfer and they providing limited supports for certain use cases.

Snowflake solves key issues in data management by providing scalable and high-performance cloud data warehousing. It simplifies data integration and sharing, automates maintenance tasks, and offers flexible, cost-effective pricing. Additionally, it ensures robust security and compliance, all while being user-friendly and accessible. This leads us to more efficient data handling, reduced operational burden, and better overall data management.

There is not much to dislike about snowflake. But they could have built analytics layer on top of snowflake

We are currentky storing our data in snowflake and using other tools to access data from snowflake to develop dashboards

It's ever expanding product suite is the envy of all competitors. The value it can drive is insane.

I think the onboarding ramp is fairly steep

Eco system around it is allowing us to run a lean data team, but drive high levels of insight.

The ability to go back in time on any table through time travel feature is quite impressive.

Does not support real time use cases by default. Also the cost is bit steep.

1. Compute cost is bit pricey compared to competition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For various organizations integrating data from various sources, unifying the data and extracting actionable insights is bit complicated process, if you don't have the right set of tools and people leading these intiatives it becomes lengthy and unjustifiable in the long run. Snowflake addresses this core problem by giving you a unified platform with a rich eco system which help you get these intiatives materlized within very short time, it's like data warehousing on steroids. This is only possible because of the solid, scalable and flexible architecture of Snowflake. You just focus on what you need and Snowflake will take care of all technical implementation side of things on your preferred Cloud infrastructure.
Great Data Warehouse for all enterprise sizes
What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake is able to connect to a vast array of data sources and is generally compatible with most software products & vendors that your company utilizes. It's a great product and is very easy to use after getting ramped up. Their customer support is available to answer questions on demand and they generally get back to you rather quickly with solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only item previously that was frustrating was the lack of tables populating when writing queries, but they have since fixed & implemented that feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several disparate systems that offer different reporting capabilities, and Snowflake allowed me to bridge the gap and create centralized reporting for our business at large.
