What do you like best about the product?
I pretty much like the integration part where you can connect snowflake to different systems and get the desired output stored in snowflake in the form of tables which also gives you the option to read/write the data at a later stage
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the processing time. At times snowflake takes a lot of time to run the queries and the interface could be made more user-friendly when it comes to the Selection of schema, role etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our current organization, we have data stored on multiple systems and using snowflake helps to get all the data stored in one cloud data lake for easy accessibility.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend snowflake to only those who would be able to resolve any difficulties or issues with the system all by themselves most of the time as the customer support is not that up to the mark. However, as a tool, it is pretty easy to use they even offer foundational, advanced and intermediate trainings too to help the clients get more compatible with the product.
Good cloud platform for analysing the data.

We can get the data from AWS, GCP and analyze it on SF.

Faced functionality issues in some cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Was working on a migration project. Good UI, one should not worry about resource management.

clean interface, easy to navigate databases and find tables, tabbed systems

the process to switch roles/databases/schemas can be a bit cumbersome at times

creating data sources using SAP data to utilize in tableau

Cloud solution is easy to impliment - We had it up and running in an hour or two.
IDE remembers the tabs and queries you had open.

What do you dislike about the product?
Limited functionality in terms of functions, sub queries and some flexible dynamic tricks that SQL can do , that Snowflake can't.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setup our datawarehouse over a weekend and was able to bring together different data sources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Really easy to implement and their costing platform is great.
There is a bit of learning and frustrations if you switch from MS SQL, as snowflake has its own little quirks and some more advanced sub quering and transformations that does not work.

Essentials session was very informative for me as a beginer
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel this was the first time and that's why a few things were missing e.g. checkins over limit and am sure it will all be taken care by next time.

we are the new customers to snowflake and was her to get more insights. I clearly see a huge revolution not just in our company however all around the world who are using traditional systems today.

What do you like best about the product?
enjoyed a lot of the topics covered overall. It was a good way to increase exposure to the stack of tools we have access to.
What do you dislike about the product?
signup / capacity warnings. i didnt get into two sessions my first day that i wanted. the food was not particularly allergen friendly. also please create some breaks! some of the breakout sessions were fairly high level, would have enjoyed more technical/analitycal

redshift was way too slow and had a lot of management. just starting out and migrating now.

Separate compute and storage layer. History view. Auto scale up and auto resume for warehouse has been amazing. Time travel feature is the best of all. Love it.

Hope that snowflake provide the monitor credit usage view.

Snowflake has great performance, feature rich and has a good road map for where it wants to go.

It would be nice if there were some on prem offerings in addition to cloud. Additionally, a focus on real time data is a must.

I enjoyed hearing about the future enhancements as well as how Snowflake can integrate with so many different platforms

The training was a bit of a mess. Too many problems with permissions on the training accounts and it was incredibly slow - I would consider having multiple training sessions for various levels of data warehouse knowledge

We are still looking at Snowflake as a potential cloud data warehouse solution, but it would eliminate the issues with having multiple SQL servers as well as other servers to hold our data
