What do you like best about the product?
I use New Relic for monitoring application performance, tracking errors, and ensuring that the system runs smoothly, which really enhances my workflow efficiency. The ability to identify issues quickly is invaluable, especially in recognizing API slowness and debugging production issues faster. The alert system is incredibly helpful as it allows me to stay proactive by identifying issues in real time before they impact users, saving us from potential downtime. I love the detailed transaction traces feature, which provides in-depth insights into API slowness or unusual traffic, enabling me to respond swiftly and appropriately. The initial setup of New Relic was easy, with clear installation steps, although configuring alerts and dashboards required a bit more time. Overall, these features significantly contribute to maintaining performance reliability and optimizing system operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard load time could be reduced, especially when it contains multiple queries and during peak hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use New Relic to monitor application performance, quickly identify issues, track errors, and ensure smooth system operations, utilizing real-time alerts and detailed transaction traces to address API slowness and debug production faster.

What do you like best about the product?
New Relic is a really helpful platform, it helps in providing a full view of what's happening across your application in real time. It helps you understanding performance as per the user's perspective all the way down to the code level. Also the one thing which i liked about it is that it's dashboard is super flexible where you can customise them to focus on what really matters to your team, error rates and infrastructure health. We can say it is particularly helpful when you are working with complex and distributed system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything right now in dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been really helpful platform for us and supported us in solving problems related to modern software development like understanding what's really going on inside your system in real time. If we have multiple services, APIs and environment running at once then there would be higher chances of performance issues and errors to get lost in the noise. New Relic helps in pulling all the data so you have the ability to see the complete picture From infrastructure to the individual user experience.

A common concern with New Relic is its complex pricing model, which can lead to unexpectedly high costs as data volumes and the number of user seats grow. This complexity often makes budgeting a challenge for some teams. Additionally, the platform presents a steep learning curve and features a user interface that can feel overwhelming, particularly for newcomers or those without a technical background. The software can also be resource-intensive, with its agents sometimes consuming considerable CPU and memory, which may drive up infrastructure costs and complicate deployments in larger environments. Users have further pointed out certain limitations, such as restrictions on concurrent active sessions from different locations and, at times, slow or limited customer support—especially for smaller accounts. Taken together, these issues can create challenges in terms of usability, cost management, and operational overhead, even though New Relic offers robust capabilities.

With New Relic, we gain comprehensive, up-to-the-minute insights into application performance, infrastructure health, and user experience, which allows us to monitor our environment more effectively.

Troubleshooting has also become much more efficient. Previously, identifying the root causes of performance issues or outages was often time-consuming and frustrating. New Relic’s detailed transaction traces and anomaly detection tools have made this process faster and more accurate, enabling us to resolve incidents with greater confidence.

Additionally, as our infrastructure has grown, managing resources and controlling costs has become increasingly important. New Relic’s analytics and cost-control features help us optimize resource usage and keep expenditures in check.

Overall, the platform enables proactive monitoring, allowing us to catch issues before they impact users and maintain high service levels. Its unified dashboards and integrations have also improved collaboration across our teams, leading to quicker incident resolution. The actionable insights we gain from New Relic support data-driven decisions, helping us optimize performance, enhance user experience, and scale our systems more effectively.
