Multi Platform and Solid APM, but still third party.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it supports multiple clouds seamlessly, and has a simple and straightforward installation process. The APM tools are bar none and a lot of effort was clearly put in to making information easy to find and visualizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's still an extra installation process, and the ins and outs of that process aren't made very clear in the quickstart or the docs themselves -- if I wanted to install this in a k8s cluster, what variables do I need to set? Do I REALLY have to mount a file'?
Also, the line between the various products (APM, synthetics, errors, etc) are not at immediately intuitive -- to me or to the devs on my team.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The error reporting has been really handy. NRQL is solid and has made it easy to throw together dashboards that we check at least weekly.
Lower-urgency issues that used to go unsolved for weeks are now visible, which is a big deal for a small team like ours.

new UX released quickly, surprised my team. So many new features it is difficult to learn and keep up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
APM instant root cause, saves hours of manual troubleshooting incidents.
Dashboards, excellent visiblity in a nice graphical report style - easy to explain to leadership.
Infrastructure on AWS - simple, quick deployments of agents - instant gain of observable issue/areas to improve.

Really good at what it does and its reliable!
What do you like best about the product?
Reliability, people are friendly, helps us create dashboards very easily and even the management folks understand it!
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say, but may be the data is too congested at times so thats something which could be improved upon with better UI etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Service Reliability, assurance, troubleshooting etc.
Bell Canada - Samuel Carpentier
What do you like best about the product?
The NRQL query language is the greatest, most powerful feature New Relic offers. You can query any type of data and build visualizations very quickly and easily regardless of your technical level.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very hard to find something to dislike on New Relic. Pricing is the hardest challenge it brings to our table. Because it's so easy to integrate, it's very easy to ingest useless data that you ned up paying solid amounts of money for. But this is the reality for any cloud-bases SaaS solutions!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Observability across many different platforms, infrastructure monitoring, APM, logs aggregation and BLAZING FAST query speed, video quality analysis, customer journey analysis.
Setting the standard in obsevability
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple to implement and integrate into a wide range of technical platforms. Also captures a tremendous amount of information without doing a lot of custom logging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be hard to find specific details within the documentation. A wealth of knowledge there, but not the easiest to sift through when looking to resolve or get information on simpler tasks or topics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At our company, we're utilizing the NewRelic metrics to monitor and improve our critical flows within our e-commerce platform. It allows us to completely follow the data journey of our users to help identify areas for improvement, bottlenecks as well as what's working well.
Easy to identity problems
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is easy to use and the graphs/charts are useful while troubleshooting. NR has helped us to find some of the problems and narrow it down to code level during severity1.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont like managing user access management with v1. We need to migrate to v2. Very high close.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to detect and resolve problems with during critical incident. We also need to corelate services.
My review of new relic
What do you like best about the product?
New Relic provides us visibility into application behavior across our entire stack.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is very high. There is so much data available and it overwhelms newcomers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are monitoring the performance and reliability of our platform. New Relic is a critical tool for triaging user issues and outages.
New Relic for Monitoring and Observability
What do you like best about the product?
App teams can dive down to their issue to figure out their incidents before the external customers informs us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Host Not reporting. If the server is in maintenance mode, the HNR alert is triggered, the server didn't restart properly, and once the server comes out of maintenance mode, no alert is sent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping the app team detect issues before the customer.
Growing complexity over time
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of New Relic is the diversity of information it provides. I can start with a Synthetics check which gives me a high level 'good/bad' and then delve deeper into the details with the rest of hte product suite.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally think that New Relic's interface has gotten increasingly harder to navigate as new product functionality has come online. Certain things that I relied on heavily like the Infra hosts view has become harder to find and is seemingly trending toward deprecation to be replaced but much less valuable modern view that directly steps on the initial messaging for why the old view was designed in the way it was.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visility into production systems but also using it for core analytics cases by dumping telemetry from other systems like CLI usages to gauge customer engagement.
Great for tracking perfomance
What do you like best about the product?
New Relic One makes it easy to check for poor-performing webpages and API calls, so my team knows where to look next to improve our users' experience. Permanate links to NRQL queiries make it easy to share information with others and get back to the data later.
What do you dislike about the product?
Figuring out how to do some queries in NRQL can be difficult. Although, I just learned about the ability to use Regex in NRQL, which significantly simplifies some of the queries that I have been using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We track errors and performance across dev, staging, and production environments allowing us to see performance changes across builds and releases. Alerts allow us to be notified as soon as issues happen, so we can start looking at them before customers complain.
