The only OS you need as a Developer
What do you like best about the product?
The easy interface and the intuitive terminal (bash) helps a lot in the whole development lifecycle and that's something I like the best about Ubuntu or Linux OS
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that you have to manually update the tools using apt-get update and only a few of the tools are available for installation for Ubuntu, eg. some games, apps, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly use Ubuntu for development purposes, using AWS cli and various command line tools also for testing my develpoed apps in Python and Java.
Also its good for communication with teams.

Actually not much. Racking my brains for about a minute I still cannot come up with anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu is my primary non work OS. Also at work where we are a Microaoft shop, I use Ubunru in WSL for automating most of my daily work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is the most cohesive linux distros that is available. Users will have a small Learning curve but they will be able to deal with it very easily.
The best start into the Linux OS

The best OS for beginners when it comes to Linux. They have a great community and a lot of support in general. It provides all the bells and whistles you will need if you are starting out.
What do you dislike about the product?
It comes with a lot of bloatware that in the end, it's not that necessary if you are starting out in the Linux ecosystem which can lead to unnecessary use of space on the hard drive/SSD.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Is one of the best OS if you want an alternative from Windows or Mac OS and you don't have much experience in Linux. Is relatively lightweight compared to Windows or Mac but not among other Linux OS counterparts.
Looking for a Free Operating System - Try Ubuntu!
What do you like best about the product?
One of the most interesting about this operating system is - it is Free! Ubuntu is one of the most popular Linux variant operating systems. You could search and look for the Desktop Install ISO image and download it. Installation is via USB install procedure and very user-friendly. Look for the Lubuntu, which uses a lighter battery resource and RAM. It has all the latest applications you will ever need on a Desktop - also free! It comes with a place called a repository of software to where you can access and download other software you may need. Also, under the hood, all applications communicate with each other, and you can control them by writing a Bash command to do the sequence of work for you instantly - Amazing Indeed!
What do you dislike about the product?
Avoid the rolling updates and focus on looking for LTS, which stands for Long Term Support ISO distribution. Whereby the software gets upgraded every 3-years instead of every year. Linux is different from a Windows operating system. So if there are Windows applications you wish to use - you cannot install them on Linux. However, there are Linux software alternatives you can use - also quite powerful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had been a Windows user at first, but later, when I switched to being a Ubuntu Linux user, my life changed. I have learned by self-study how to make software communicate with each other. I routinely filter data everyday and group them categorically. I get their sum values (previously using excel) but now use bash scripting using CSV formatted data and bring the data back and save them into readable excel spreadsheet format. It is faster and automates the work for me instantly the way I want it.
