It's quick and easy to install, and most packages are made for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many packages may be outdated, and for those you must recompile. apt-get is also unnecessarily complicated

we're using it to test a low-rate denial of service attack tool
A good alternative to SVN and GIT

Bazaar allows you to create a shared repository for develop code. It's interesting when there are lots of persons developing together.
What do you dislike about the product?
in general it fulfills its function, but it's a bit difficult to maintenance and administration, basically the permissions of the users and the rights with the different branches.
But the main problem of bazaar, is that there are no releases since 2011!!

What do you like best about the product?
An open source operational system ( free ), a great tool if you work with IT( design, develop), because its very light ( you dont have to use an ultra powerful computer to run it ), simple and different from Windows for example(its really hard to crash).
What do you dislike about the product?
We are all used to Windows so the first touch with Linux can be very strange and hard to use, its interface is not friendly at all and another complaining about Ubuntu is that their drivers are not always up to date so many hardware/software cant be used by this OS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been using Ubuntu to work with some development, i'm studying System Development and this tool is really useful, its much faster and lighter than Windows
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it if you're trying to work with IT, not for usual use, its hard and not friendly at all, but if you're used to technology, then you wont find much issues.
Not for all users

The software store and .deb packages are nice. There are a lot of apps that you can install in your Pc and use in UIbuntu

Ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
Most Linux operating systems are not user friendly. This one is. The GUI (Graphic user interface) is wonderful. It is extremely useful for organizations with in-house developers. Easy to implement. It is free to download.
What do you dislike about the product?
I suppose it would be nice if updates were manageable via SCCM. I am unsure if this has been implemented yet, but since a lot of companies are moving more towards automation, this would be a huge feature update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the Ubuntu OS to run our in-house intranet solution. It is just nice to have a light-weight Linux OS for in-house developed solutions. We also use for our code backup solution, as well as have a separate Ubuntu box for storing old versions of our intranet information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a light-weight, but still user friendly Linux OS for your solution, Ubuntu is the best (In my opinion).
